  1. Great pattern. I love the fonts used and the great job you did on this project. Dick heppnerguy
  2. I would not had any idea how to even try to make a pattern with all the dark features in the photo. You nailed it very well. Amazing pattern and cutting. I am in awe. Dick heppnerguy
  3. Very impressive, as are all of your patterns and work. You always amaze me with your skillful work Dick heppnerguy
  4. What a cool idea. It even looks like something I would be able to make, perhaps.. I would be very interested in seeing a pattern to this one. How do I get a copy? Dick heppnerguy
  5. Nicely done.. I have been thinking about name puzzles too, as I have 4 new great grandkids that just turned one year old in the last couple of months. Dick heppneguy
  6. I always get excited when I see you have posted something new because I can count on it to be amazing, every time Dick heppnerguy
  7. What a great idea. I love how it looks all lit up. It stands out so well. All of the crosses are very nice. I love Sue Mey patterns and she is my 'go to' when I am looking for a pattern that needs to be ornate and appealing. Dick heppnerguy
  8. I am really happy for people who want something I have made, especially to the ones that purchase something from me more then once. Dick heppnerguy
  9. Thank you, Bob. This time comes for all of us, eventually. We just need to remember how important it is to keep spiritually ready. Dick heppnerguy
  10. I have made and given them to a lot of people and they always seem to be very welcome and a good reminder that they aren't alone at this time in their lives Dick heppnerguy
  11. My wife was a Hospice volunteer for several years..You are so right.. it is truly a blessing for those that use them, except for the fact that they need them... Dick
  12. I sprayed a red center on the backer Board, then immediately I sparyed a black from the outside of the red to the boarder. I like that effect better then one solid color. Dick heppnerguy
  13. Nicely cut of a well done pattern. I think you just might be more correct than you think about just how much your mother in law loves this project. It will be near her the rest of her life and she will not only think about Bob when she looks at it, but also about how you made it for her. Dick heppnerguy
  14. i try to do the same thing as you and it does help. Some people just have better skill levels and abilities then others. I do find that I have been doing better then before as all I wanted to do was cut a pattern and then I would get in a hurry to finish it as I got close to the end. I recently have slowed way down and I am trying to do a better job cutting as well as putting more effort on my finishing too. I still do not take the time needed to perfect any particular skills but only tackle the project at hand. I have wanted to make patterns, especially wood portrait patterns for years. I have made some and I was pretty happy with the ones I did but I still have not taken time to really understand them well. Each time I do try one, it is, starting over from the beginning instead of learning to do the steps automatically. Just me I guess. In this way, I am my own worse enemy. One can not develop a skill by wishing to do so. Dick heppnerguy
  15. I sent you a PM Dick heppnerguy
  16. I have an old friend that has purchased and donated crosses to her church that are given to new people who join their church. She orders about 50 at a time. I found out she donates them to her church and felt bad that I had charged her for them but I kept the cost at rock bottom and not even sure if I collected enough to pay supplies and postage, but I was ok with that aspect of it. Anyway I decided to make her one of these crosses that I have gifted to other people also and we have one hanging in our house too. It is just a thank you for supporting my efforts throughout the years. She has purchased some of my woodwork for birthday and Christmas gifts in the past. Dick heppnerguy
  17. I have a neighbor a couple of houses from us and her husband has had cancer and she told me he was now on hospice and not doing very well. They are really nice people and I wanted to be sure and have a memorial plaque done to give her when the time comes so I cut it yesterday and I have it ready for that sad and lonely time. So sorry to hear about his suffering. I know his wife will be very lonely when that day gets here and she no longer will have his companionship. This is a Sue Mey pattern from her site....www.scrollsawartist.com Dick heppnerguy

  21. What a cute plaque. Mind if I steal this idea from you and make one for my granddaughter who also has and loves her goats. It is so perfect. I will wait to hear from you before I go ahead and cut one, and then only if you give me permission to do so Dick heppnerguy
  22. Oh my God. What a terrific memorial box. When I saw you had posted another of your first class projects, I got really excited and once more I was not let down. This is one of the most beautiful and meaningful boxes I have ever have the pleasure to see. The last photo sort of made my heart stop for a moment, as I read the inlay inscription. You are indeed a wood artist. Dick heppnerguy
