  1. My saw is an Excalibur. I have 2 of them and one DeWalt. I bought my first Ex from Paul (Scrappile). Then I continued a search to find one more for a backup. They were hard to find, once they stopped producing them. Everyone seemed to be hanging onto what they had. I finally got lucky and found one on Craigslist in Phoenix. It was about three years old and purchased for a grandson to give him something to do when he visited him in the winter. But fortunately for me, the kid only spent a couple of hours on it and never was interested and did not touch it again. So it sat unused from the first hour or so it was used. Finally the grandfather decided it was taking up space in the shop for nothing and posted it. An hour after he made the post I had it in my car and have been using it every since. Oh, by the way, I got it for $200 Dick heppnerguy
  2. My sander does have the capability to do that but unfortunately the table part is not a very good one for that. Perhaps I can figure out how to make an extension and screw it on so it may work. I am not very good at that type of thing but I will try anyway. Dick heppnerguy
  3. I ran across this post a couple of months ago and found it a lot shorter and more to the point then the others. I tore down a DeWalt scroll saw that I gave to my grandson several years ago and cleaned and greased everything and it ran like new. I did not have to do anything with the upper arm on that machine. I am glad you found it helpful also. Dick heppnerguy
  4. Here is another sight that is super easy to understand and might find a little more helpful. Dick heppnerguy
  5. I always enjoy seeing the art pieces you post here. I too would love to see some you have done using the beer cans. I have not had much time on the computer for awhile so perhaps you have posted some of it on the bragging forum. I will go look and see. Dick heppnerguy
  6. Welcome to The Village from Southern Arizona. I started scrolling about the time I retired and it has been a source of enjoyment for me every since. I hope you can find it to your liking as much as I have. Lot for free patterns here to download and cut. We are all here to help one another and share our efforts with others as well. Lots of tutorials on scrolling on youtube.com as well. Dick heppnerguy
  7. Welcome to The Village. Glad to see you finally decided to join up. Now we can all get to know you too. Your projects look pretty darn nice and maybe you can keep even more inspired to make more sawdust, if you log on often and see what others are also doing. Keep making the sawdust and having fun with it. Dick heppnerguy

  9. Welcome to The Village.. I see you are not someone that jumps into things without doing your homework first. I did see where Denny has his phone number on his Pagus page, you might give him a call and ask him about the saw. Also Amazon has the Jet on sale with free shipping right now, you may want to take a peak at that soon. Dick heppnerguy
  10. Welcome Dave to The Village from Southern Arizona. I hope you take the time to explore all the nooks and crannies here as there is a lot to see and enjoy besides the free patterns and the viewing of other people's projects. The best part is getting to know all the friendly, helpful and talented regulars that come here almost daily. Be sure to ask any questions or concerns you may have and post any suggestions or answers to other's questions that you can help with. Encouraging one another is something we all enjoy here. Come back OFTEN so we all can get to know one another better. We are family here, you know Dick heppnerguy
  11. Welcome Lance to The Village So glad you chose to team up with us. You probably already figured out that the people here are always friendly and accommodating. I have not checked out your posts yet but will be looking at them soon. I lived in Oregon all my life until 3 years ago when we moved to Southern Arizona. I no longer have to fight the cold winters like in the Northwest. I hope you have taken the time to search through our free patterns and checked out the tutorial page on pattern making, as it can be very useful or interesting just to have a look. It sounds like you have already found Steve Good's free pattern page, a lot of people started scrolling because Steve have such a nice variety of patterns as well as tutorial videos on his page. I hope the weather warms up enough for you to be able to spend time in your shop, soon. In the mean time, come here often so we can all get to know you better, as we consider ourselves Family. Dick heppnerguy

  16. Welcome to The Village. I started my scroll sawing with intarsia and enjoyed it for some time and then decided to change what I was doing and began scrolling. I love the outcome of intarsia so I occasionally go back to it from time to time. I hope you post your work and let us see how you are doing with it. If you have any questions about your scroll saw or how to do anything that seems to be of question, just ask. You will get answers. Dick heppnerguy

A win win for all. 19. Yet another great car pattern from you. I still have three of your patterns to cut. Shop time is just around the corner, finally. I have a couple of requests to cut and then I will be able to get to them. I have ne.her seen a Graham in real life. Thanks for all you do for so many others, me included Dick heppnerguy
  20. Great job. Fret scrolling does indeed take a bit of time but the end rewards are always worth the extra time to complete. Love it
  21. Not only is the front well done but how you treated the back of it is a winner also Dick heppnerguy
  22. I would have to choose the second one but had you stained th the backer board behind the wolf head black and left the the rest as it is, I would have voted for number one Dick H heppnerguy
