  1. Could you remove the tiny bits, then tape the bigger parts back?
  2. I wasn't thinking anything about Mineral Spirits. I was just wondering about switching the beeswax to soy wax.
  3. As always, great work Frank. I love the Sketch of a Sailboat. Will you be posting the pattern?
  4. I was at my local Michael's store, which is similar to Hobby Lobby, and was wandering the aisles. Dangerous, I know. I stopped in the candle making section looking at the beeswax granules. I noticed they also carried soy wax granules. The soy wax was about $10 less than beeswax for the same weight. Has anyone used soy wax with mineral oil for a finish? Any thoughts on using it as a substitute?
  5. Looks good. I have a couple pieces of Alex's in my sales display and gave his story to people who were looking at the items.
  6. Looks like you are getting the hang of painting! No stopping you now
  7. The rope one, for sure. On the other one, you could add some seashell embellishments.
  8. Steve Good has a pattern book for "standard" interlocking puzzles.
  9. Me too. I even printed the patterns.
  10. They walk funny and create hip problems!!
  11. John, do you then put a dab of paint in the hole to hide it a bit?
  12. In Canada, it is actually illegal to ask for the SIN, Social Insurance Number. That is only to be given/used for income tax purposes. I never give that info out.
  13. I love the idea of the magnets in his feet.
  14. I learned that the best way to open the ring is to twist it so it maintains the round. So when I make earrings, I will use small needle nose pliers one on each side of the joint and twist. Hope this makes sense.
  15. Very nice. I also like the snowman best.
  16. That is a stunning piece of work. I have used hand made paper for a couple of lamps that I have made. It provides a nice soft glow. Can you provide the link for the pattern. I am very partial to dragonflies and would love to cut that pattern. Barb
  17. How is Groot not a real portrait. Looks amazing. Congrats on the 100!
  18. If you melt the mixture into the crevasses etc, how do you buff them out? Or is that needed???
  19. Different types of ply also changes when you change the blade. I was using a cabinet grade plywood that dulled the blade way faster than BB ply!
  20. Thanks for that video.
  21. On other sites that I am on, they make a loop of painters tape, stick it to a board, then the small pieces on top. Saves from them blowing away. Others have used the spray glue instead of the tape. Spray a board, then attach the small pieces.
  22. The compass rose andI Pedal are Steve Good patterns. Search "pedal" for the I pedal pattern. The "charlie brown" trees are from Gayle at Scroller Cafe. The cat and dog were Pintrest pictures and the humback whale is from Fox Chapel "woodimals" book.
  23. Do you have the link? There are a few Kevin's on the site
  24. It is a Steve Good pattern. Time to cut one for yourself!!
