  1. I agree with Dan on his suggestion, but if you are trying to reshape the cut, you do it when you make the cut. I use the burr on the blade to shave the cut till it’s where you want it. Otherwise, there is no need to sand the inside cuts, especially in fine fretwork like you are showing. Once you apply a topcoat, the edges of the inside cuts will never show.
  2. I saw a segment on a Los Angeles news channel last night showing the backlog of cargo ships anchored out side the port. They blame the backlog on the fact that half of the dock workers are out from COVID or are quarantined. I assume it’s the same on the East cost.
  3. As you know, the saws are made in Taiwan. They are on a slow boat from Asia to New Jersey. Because of the worldwide pandemic, everything is backed up. Here in California, the ports are overflowing with cargo ships that can’t get unloaded because of health restrictions and lack of personnel. I suspect it is the same on the east coast. It’s unfortunate that Bearwoods didn’t mention they were back ordered. I ordered one from Denny the beginning of January knowing they were back ordered, just to get in the que. I was told it would ship at the end of January. Now it’s been moved to the end of February or The beginning of March. I don’t blame Denny, I know it’s not his fault. I would complain about Bearwoods though because they weren’t upfront about being back ordered.
  4. But Ray, just a couple of weeks ago you were touting we need to buy American!
  5. Looks great Denny! What wood is the frame made from?
  6. I don’t think anyone is getting rich Ray. I’ve seen these advertised for as long as I have been woodworking, however, I have never seen them being used.

    Welcome

Looks good Joe! You are progressing very nicely!
  8. I’m with you Paul, it definitely would look better in hardwood. However, yours looks great!
  9. Very nice Frank!
  10. Great work Joe! I’m not a fan of painting scroll saw work, but this is fabulous. Your Granddaughter will love it!
  11. Nice!
  12. I’ve seen those before. I would rather not have to fill the hole they will leave. I’ll stick to band clamps.
  13. Good service, but know they are out of stock till the end of February or maybe the beginning of March.
  14. They look fabulous Barb. Other than decorative, do they serve a function?
  15. Nice job on both the video and new toy Les! I made a Walking Kangaroo many years ago. I need to dig it out from wherever it is so we can race!
  16. Is that Scrappile?
  17. Don’t worry Don, we all go through it!

    Nicely cut!
  19. Ray, the tubular stand was the second offering. Folks hated it so much, they went back to the original stand which is the three legged version they sell today.
  20. Ok Ray, we designate you to build a working model!
  21. Nice setup Dave. The only criticism I have is the walls. I would paint them maybe an off white. Otherwise, everything looks great. P.S. I had no problem with the video. I watched on my iPad with no buffering. For those having problems, maybe it’s your internet speed.
  22. They stock exotic boards. Each and every board is listed. They don’t offer scroll saw ready boards, but if you are looking for exotic woods, this is the place to shop!
  23. Good looking box!
  24. Very cool Frank!
