  10. Tim, go for it. Compound cutting is easy. One secret is after cutting the first side, wrap tightly so the fallout does not move. Then cut the other side.
  11. I use Photoshop in the print preview mode. This gives the size and you can reduce or increase as needed.
  12. I agree with PM Jim. He is the inlay expert. For tough wood, I use FD Polar #5 or #7. Polar blades are very aggressive.

  14. Kevin, I use skewers purchased from the local big box store. They are just the right size for perches and inexpensive too.

  16. Last week someone came into ArtCrafters and bought the only Miniature Birdhouse that can stand. She asked if I had more. I purchased the set of eight from Diana Thompson's website and made four of the eight this past weekend. I used Aromatic Red Cedar for the houses and Yellowheart for the birds. I also used FD Polar #7 blades. These are a fun easy compound cut. Comments welcome.
