    Last week, I glanced at a sheet of plywood, can't remember the thickness, but it was $92 and change! Probably 1/2", but may have been what passes for 3/4" now. I don't use anything like that, but my head hurts just thinking about folks trying to build a cabinet carcass. (Or, God forbid, a whole kitchen of cabinets.)

    I used to be blue, glue, pattern and packing tape on everything. Recently, I got some slightly distressed rolls of shelf liner and now use it on larger projects, saving the expensive blue stuff for smaller projects. Still use packing tape as a backup in case the 3M77 didn't get a good grab on the pattern. I did not use packing tape on 2 14 inch pieces I did recently, but I made sure there was plenty of spray glue on the liner.

    I am right handed and right eye dominate. I sit in the center, but probably cock my head one way or the other when sawing. I have my switch on the ground, but would entertain moving it higher, if I find a suitable method.

    The hinges are a great finishing touch on a great looking piece. Now that I see it, can't imagine it without the hinges.

    Very good cutting on this 3/4" can be a bit of a challenge, but you stepped up and hit it out of the park. If you're having trouble deciding on hinges, Lee Valley has a huge selection of small hinges.

    @don in brooklin on many thanks to you, I got this piece done and ready to present. Two layers of 1/4" MDF with paint in appropriate sections on the bottom layer. This is 16" diameter and is the biggest piece I have cut with flat blades. Briefly considered spirals, but thought better of it. Hardest parts were supporting it when a lot of the mass was hanging over the edge of the table.

    This is the senior softballplaque of a young mother who died far, far too young. Her family has asked me to create a new version with her son's name and I would like to try to match the typeface if I can. Any and all suggestions are appreciated! Hopefully, someone recognizes it. I am searching on dafont with some hope.

    I use a little from time to time cleaning oil based finish messes. But, I don't use that much.

    I cut sitting on the patio on the west side of the house. Mornings are great and in later afternoons, there is a 50 foot maple tree shading me. With a breeze, it is quite tolerable--except on the 90 degree, high humidity days we had last week. I have placed a floor fan blowing up my back when I am on a deadline and have to fight the humidity.

    One year, I had the fan blade on our vacuum disintegrate in the middle of the living room about 8 pm on Mother's Day Saturday. What a mess! So, both of us took off for Walmart to get a new one to clean the mess. (Parts of the fan store the bag). The cashier made some kind of remark about it being a poor gift and my wife set her straight on that. Only time I ever bought a household appliance near a major holiday.

    Les: I have a line gauge that looks very similar. Mine is 18" and I use it all the time. Traded some darkroom time for my gauge after I had left the paper, but they asked me back to do a special one off job.

    I am the same way. Even though I had Pegas clamps on Old Yeller, there was/is adjustment to the new clamps. Threads seem to be tighter making them a bit harder to turn.

    Making my first 3d sign for my son's wedding. This is few of the 1/2" poplar letter I have cut on my new Pegas saw with #3MGT Pegas blades. These will be painted high gloss black and glued to a weathered oak panel. Big thanks to @Denny Knappenfor getting me in line to get a saw during the winter. The quarter is for sizing.

    Blood wood is tough. Only thing I've cut harder was Brazilian Cherry. Like cutting concrete. Beautiful momento for someone.

    I have been a member over the magazine board for a long time and endured the software issues and that was when I discovered SSV. I am active on both boards and there is some crossover between the two. On the magazine board, it is a much smaller crowd these days, but there is still a good number of "guests" shown. Don't have anyway to tell if they are scrollers or search engine spiders. Probably the same with the "guests" showing up here. I've made friends on this forum, just like the other one. I am also registered at Steve Good's forum, but totally inactive. I come for ideas, to see what others are doing, the jokes, and plenty of back and forth. Just checked, I joined February 2016.
