I was in the process of making 21 crosses Easter sunday school class. I was cutting double stick tape to rout the bases for the crosses. I am putting round bases instead of the octagon base that is the picture. I was using a box knife and it slipped but it happened so fast that is all I remember. I cut my ring finger on my right hand and it took three stitches. I sure glad it wasn't my road rage finger.
I don't think the crosses will be ready in time. A week late might be okay.
Dan some of us in the south use our mason jars for something else. Just kidding. I did strain that gell that I was talking about and the Watco looked good so I used it. That was earlier today and so so good. I am down to a pint and need to get some more. The best price I have found is from Rockler and use their free shipping.
I had some Watco Danish oil go bad and maybe the BLO. The Danish Oil was more than a can full because I needed enough in my container to do a project. I then poured it into a glass jar and put the top on tight. So when you guys are storing which ever one you use how do you store it?
Hey Kevin your wanting to plane thin boards a lot of the time a planer will eat them. I have a piece of 4' long MDF cut to width and a strip of wood screwed to the under side at the one end. That is to keep the planer from pulling it through. The finish on MDF is pretty smooth but I wax it with paste floor wax. Doing this will let you plane boards a lot thinner.
You may be in the middle of no where but just think how it would be to be in the middle of a big city. It sucks!!! I use to dove hunt in a lot of the subdivisions in this town. Not now.
Dave if I understand you right your not putting any felt on the bottom of a piece so it want scratch furniture. I guess it might hold up okay, what do you think?
Peter I was just looking there. I think I will call them tomorrow and ask a few questions. They are good about helping out.

Randy what a great review. I really appreciate the time you took to help us understand more about this new saw. I don't understand the purpose of the magnetic table pad or what ever they want to call it. In their opinion it must be worth spending the money on it but I don't understand why.
PS- Did you know you and Steve Good look a lot alike? Of coarse that is my opinion.
JT maybe the non stick felt is the type I need. I have tried the peel and stick from two places and didn't like either. I want it to be of a heavier weight, like more dense. I want it to put on the bottom of some crosses I have made. I don't mind sticking it on. If you or any one else has a link to some good felt I would appreciate y'all posting it.
