    I cut this out of red cedar and poplar. I used the cedar because the knot was the perfect size for the stone! Because of the grain direction, the crosses are fragile.

    Sometimes it lines up, sometimes there is enough open cuts near to see, sometimes I put my other hand under the table and sometimes that works, sometimes I put my other hand under the work so I can touch the blade and the hole. Mostly, nothing is perfect.

    I went to Steve Good’s site. I just typed in ‘easy’ in his pattern catalog and got easy animal puzzles. I’m sure there will be enough in that section for you.

    This is a box I made from a bit of scrap walnut. The box is 2 1/2” X 2 1/2” X 1 1/2”. made from one inch walnut with 1/4” walnut top and bottom. I flocked the inside. It will hold the necklace.

    I have had a Festool hooked up to my EX21 since I got it. Years ago. Works great.

    One is 1/4” 9” X 11” MDF core cherry plywood in an Oak 14 X17” frame. The second is 1/8”, 8 x 11” Baltic birch plywood in a 14 X 17 frame I painted black.

    I put a set on a Dewalt saw with no problems. I did buy the type made for the Dewalt saw.

    I have used it. After watching Travis! It works for quick, easy pieces. Sometimes quick and easy is the best solution.

    I think they are guards that they have to have on there so they can’t get sued if you should cut your finger.

    Pant it black if it’s glued. Use a better backer painted black if it’s not glued

    It’s how I fix an inlay fail! It has become my expected trademark on these. People request them with one or two epoxy or resin fills.

    It doesn’t sound powerful. I have used it in 1/2” plywood without problems. Just drilled through 3/4 pine. I use it for all my fretwork drilling. Angled drilling, drilling into the top of compound cut ornaments, etc, I use different dremels.

    I have only used small areas to epoxy. I use packing tape to seal the bottom. Really rubbing the tape against the wood.

    I used the dremel plunge set up to drill for a very long time. It can wiggle. Resulting in problems when drilling for stack cutting. It also is figgity when changing the bit. Collet size, holding the tiny red button while turning the wrench and also holding the drill bit. I bought the Seyco Scrollers drill. It ain’t cheap. I am very happy with it. No regrets.

    I also put the waste piece back in. I use scotch tape.

    You paid $300 to get the Dewalt overhauled. If you need to recoup that money, selling it would do that. Otherwise, it don’t eat nothin’

    Do you use a backer board, an extra “throw away” board under your workpiece, for the drill to land when you drill? That eliminates the splintering.
