  1. Keep us updated. Myself, that shipping damage I don't believe but they have to say something ! If the second saw is OK then put it off to bad luck, sound like there service people forgot the first rule The Customer Is Always Right ( haha) but also sounds like them came around. I could say good luck but it should not be luck, you seem to have handled it with enough restraint. Your not dealing with a giant nameless company with thousands of items.
  2. Very nicely done, I may try one myself thanks for sharing
  3. I am not in the market for a new saw, but if I was I would look at the Delta same as the Dewalt but over a hundred less. there are many fine saws out there but I believe unless you start looking from the 300. Dollar up new or used your not going to be happy. One last point unless you have absolute requirements all upper end saws will in most cases do anything you expect. Good luck
  4. If it were me I would get a A/C. the cost to buy and run it is offset my better health and working conditions, as far as dust just cut and tape filter to front of the A/C. Life has enough problems my shop should not be one of them.
  5. Thanks for the reminder, we tend to forget it is a SAW blade and can hurt. You could file a v in all your nails and start a new trend
  6. Always have miscellaneous blades and keeping some kind of order was getting hard. Looking around the house I used what I had, don't know if it's original or not, but it works. Jimbo straws 12 inch long cut to 6 inch, a pencil that fits as a plug 1/4 long on bottom 3/4 on top, I use Matt finish scotch tape and a marker to label. Each straw holds 2 doz.+ . I also made some 4 inches long . To hold these tubes I took an empty thread spool (my wife loves to sew) some of spools are now made out of plastic a hole in the center and spokes like a wheel with 6 openings just glue a small Base for stability and you have 7 tubes not taking up much room. Just stuff I had. The straw was from a a soda at a gas station. Real quick to make up.Works for me .
  7. What can I say... When your right YOUR RIGHT
  8. Very nice. Never thought of doing something like that.
  9. Don't have to be a cat lover to love this one. Great job.
  10. Just a thought, if you're going to try a #3 blade try FD . I like Olson and use them but there # 3 can't follow a straight line. Of course that may be just be my saw or me
  11. Had a copy , lost it , now I got it back Thanks !
  12. An Old 19 inch Excalibur I just about rebuilt it...Well did a lot of work, also added Quick Blade release, and thinking about a vs motor. Still hate bottom feed with no lift arm.... BUT Smooth, quite, And almost fun to use, right now it's the best I can do ... It still just a 20+ year hobby

  17. Is this a one time or is it happening all the time ? I have had a blade bend like that after a piece of wood got stuck on the blade, but your right it's not the set screw
  18. Your clamp should have a set screw on the other side of the thumb screw.looks like it needs to be tightened .

  21. I have read here of box fans, and other means of keeping dust down, I use a fan/ filter and a tray under the saw and it helped. I need more or I kicked out of the sewing room. Will a shop vac with intake near the bottom of the blade help, And how much ? One last question, can I hook the vac to my foot switch or will the stop and go kill the motor. Keep in mind I am talking hobby, but I do love to cut
  22. Thanks, always looking for something new.
