I cut this once before, a couple of years ago. I looked up the difference between thankful and grateful then and had to look again to get it straight in my mind. As I understand it an example would be, while you’re thankful for the food you’re eating, you’re grateful that hunger isn’t really a problem for you.

Beautifully done Danny! You did a great job hiding the entry holes. Before I read your comment I was trying to find them with it zoomed in and couldn't find any. -
Me too! Since it's caused by fungi it always makes me think how perfection is overrated, and imperfections are what make things/people unique and beautiful.

Holy cow Rodney! Beautiful job on an amazing pattern. I zoomed in and I love all the tiny holes. They really add to the realistic look. Also noticed you did an excellent job getting rid of any fuzzies. That had to be tedious. Fantastic job.

Wow! I'm always amazed to hear home prices in other parts of the country/world. Mine is nothing fancy at all, but nice enough for me. 3 bedroom, brick, 1,800 sq ft on 1/2 acre. We paid 49,000 in 90 and it might be worth around $200,000 now. Hard to imagine a 1900 sq ft house bringing 1.5 mil for us Alabama folks.

I love the pattern Barb and the colors you chose are great! I've had so many puzzle pieces that would only go one way I couldn't count them. You're right, things most certainly don't always work out. Some people need to stop taking themselves so seriously and keep their negativity to themselves.

I think you did a great job. My daughters can pick colors to go together that in my mind will totally clash and they look beautiful together. I think a certain amount of it is inborn.

This pond was almost magical in my memory. I was a teenager and I'd fish there till dark and the water would get as still as glass when the sun went down. There was a beaver hut like this one that stood about 3 feet above the water at one end of the pond and at dusk the bass would swirl around it and their fins would actually stick out of the water like shark fins. I guess minnows were coming out from around the sticks in the hut to eat and the bass were there to eat them. I had a trolling motor that I ran with the battery from my car so I had to conserve enough charge to crank the car when I left. Blessed time of my younger years!

The portraits do get monotonous. Every time I think I'll move on to something different someone else comes to mind.

Great job! I love beavers. I used to fish in a pond with lots of them and they’d slap the water with their tails right next to my boat and make me jump. Love how you did the textures plus the wood grain is awesome.

I know what you mean. I always start with the eyes when making a pattern and many times never got past them.
