  1. Those are awesome and I really like the idea of having the same image on both sides to add a challenge. I can see it being fun to have two of the same puzzles to race with. I'm going to have to do this one to play with the grandkids. Where did you get the movie prop money? What blades and wood thickness did you use?
  2. Great job and nice idea on the different wood for the head! From the looks of the size that must have involved some awkward turns on the saw on the ends, like the tail. I'm lazy in that area and don't enjoy cutting large pieces.
  3. Great job! Beautiful!
  4. That's beautiful, Dick. Great eye finding something that wasn't designed as a scroll saw pattern! Chances are you have the only one like it.
  5. He's a favorite of mine also . Great singing voice too!
  6. Trust me it’d be too boring. It probably too me 6-8 hours to make this one. I know there are much better and faster ways but I enjoy it. It’s therapeutic and I just do a bit here and there. Many times spending nearly the whole time watching a Braves game just to do a couple of eyes.
  7. Thank you!
  8. Thanks so much. His face and lower lip are kind of hanging on by a thread so I was nervous till I got to mounted to the backer.
  9. Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean/24601 from Les Misérables. Cut in an interesting piece of cherry.
  10. Nice Job!
  11. Very nice!
  12. Martin Luther King Jr. January 15, 1929-April 4, 1968. I cut this this a few years ago. Today is the 60th anniversary of the I Have A Dream speech.
  13. Very nice! Has lots of character.
  14. Thanks Ron. I'm not usually much for color but I like this one. Wasn't really planned this way.
  15. Thank you! We're pretty big Atlanta Braves fans. Lots to cheer for this year. Mostly I love watching my grandkids play baseball and tee ball. We have a ball park a couple of miles from my house where they play most of their games. We are able to drive our golf cart to the ball field. Being a small town we know lots of the kids and parents. You can get a popcorn and drink for $3. It's a little piece of heaven when the weather is pleasant.
  16. Thank you!
  17. Thank you, Ron! I don't sell them. I occasionally give one away, and I have a couple hanging in the house, but mostly I hang them on my shop walls. Fortunately I have 9 1/2' walls so I have a lot of extra wall space. I have somewhere around 125 hanging now. They get pretty dusty but I blow them off once in a while. It'd be nice if someday I could give them to a restaurant or something for decoration. Otherwise my children will have a lot of interesting firewood someday.
  18. Thank you! Fine line between art and a mess. I got a little black from the backer on the red and when I rubbed it off it looked cool. So I just put more on using a nearly dry brush. Happy little accident.
  19. Patrick Renna as Hamilton "Ham" Porter, from The Sandlot. First piece is red oak stained with Minwax Barn Red and True Black. Second is Sycamore with 50/50 BLO and mineral spirits. Patterns in the library.
  20. Thanks, Kevin!
  21. Very neat looking shop. Welcome to the Village. Dangerously addicting hobby.
  22. Good to hear from you Kevin! Take care.
  23. Love that! You did an amazing job!
