All my patterns are on my computer and I have a lifetimes worth of paper. It's not about that, I just wondered if there was anything I could do with the 'left overs, and just curious about what other may do that I don't. Waste not want not, as my mother used to say...

Must admit, I glue my patterns directly to my wood and then wipe over with white spirit and the pattern just falls off. I can't pick and pull at anything stuck down as my hands won't work that way.

I'm not sure I made myself clear. I have all my patterns on my computer. This is the pattern after I've cut the piece. My patterns come off in one piece after I've cut and I wondered what people did with their 'used' patterns.

What does everyone do with their 'paper patterns' when you've finished scrolling ? I've got so many in a box I just wondered what people did with them.

Do you use both straight and spiral blades?

As far as I'm aware Les the Niqua blades are FD blades. I use Niqua #3 for everything and I find that they cut for ages before getting blunt. They are easily got here in the UK and I can buy them a gross at a time. -

It's just resting up against my diary in the photo although the diary is actually black.. It must be the reflection of my kitchen light. It will have a black backer on it when completed.

Thank you, as you say this did lend itself to a spiral blade, however, I do love my straight lines and perfect points and corners so I find spirals a little frustrating and daunting.

This pattern has sat on my bench for over a month looking at me as I find spirals a little intimidating But I had a good talk with myself and dived right in. !! ...... Although it's probably not the best cutting of this lovely pattern, I'm not unhappy with it. An H. Botas pattern

Do you use both straight and spiral blades?

I find it difficult to switch between blades. Flat blades are something I'm so comfortable with whereas spirals I don't use too often. I usually do what I can with one blade, go for a coffee or cut something else and then go back fresh another day. Probably why it takes forever for me to cut a 'mixed' piece , It took me a week to do this one .
