Thank you Dave.... I used to show mom all the stuff i make, Since she died iv missed showing my crafts to someone other then just spike. spike like mom is honest with me about how good a project was and often made suggestions on how to make things better

your proubly right.... poor spike..hes 73 and he gets so anoyed because he keeps dropping things!! lol and of course theres nobody to yell at about it.... i told him hey your doing better then me, your just dropping things.....i seem to be in the wound yourself doing stupid things stage lol

lol yup.... lol a motto i have ALWAYS lived by. lol This to drives poor spike up the wall lol he often says cant you throw ANYTHING away? lol When he first came here he saw the 2 wooden tulps on the kitchen sink and couldnt understand why i was using those as nick nacks on the sink when i had a lot of other things that were so much prettyer and better made... then one day he saw plastic food storage and sandwich bags hanging on them upside down... so of course he wanted to know why. lol well so we can reuse them of course...no sense tossing them away as long as theres no holes in them they can be washed and reused and the tulips are there to dry them on.... iv made a ton of them for people who have asked for them so im not the only one who does it... i dont do it often anymore though as spike constently tells me we can afford to buy new bags....lol but thats not really the point.... its the recycling that lowers my green footprint. i save all kinds of things that drives him nutts....lol poor man

Iv been working on my wizzard fret work mostly at my saw, so decided to finish some things i have shoved in a boxs.... I love doing the compound cut patterns and im sure the rest of you do this too. I dont throw away the side pieces most of the time, i toss them into a box, and then when it gets to hot to scroll in the wood shop I grab a box of what ever needs to be finished and make myself at home at the kitchen table. lol this time i decided it was time to work with the compound cut wast wood. Now what i do is this IF on the inside of the side piecees have to many different thickness i carefuly take the peice to my saw and saw down the higher parts and then finish it with my dremal... most of the work is done with the dremal making that side flat or carved so it looks right. that way i get 3 or 4 projects from one compound cut. when there finished i make magnets out of them , or glue them to crocheted headbands, or use them for inlays or what ever comes to mind at the time lol i know im not expling this to well but the pictures will help make it clear and like i said im sure you guys do this too so you'll really understand what im trying to saywhen you see the pics ok well of course the pics arent all in order but the first 2 pics are of the little tub i throw the my compound cut waist pieces. The next 3 pictures are of the wizard pattern im cutting out...the left side is where i made the inside cuts just in case you cant tell. the next 3 are of the compound cut and waist pieces all done and painted, I have to glue the wiggle eyes on the bunnys and frogs they just have to have the finishe put on them the 3 snowmen i made out of the wast from the pencle bunny topper i got on here.... i crocheted each one a hat and scarf and im going to go see if i can find some small enough brances in that big pile of sticks and brances we have in the back yard, if i do i'll give them arms lol the last 2 pictures are of some of the peices im working on now. lol now remember i DIDNT cut all of these things out now, im just taking the ones in the box and finishing them.... now i know i can put a plastic bag over my foot so sawdust dosnt get in the toe but before i can do more work on them i have to find a way to prop up my left foot while at the kitchen table. lol same with the sawing...have to find a way to prop up my foot as they want it elevated. im sure i'll think of something!! unless of course spike has a fit about my doing woodworking with a stithed up foot. lol im glad he didnt live with me when i was younger and totaly housebound, i dont think he could have handled it. lol i had to dr myself up when ever i got hurt... or sick lol it was not aways a pretty sight!! lol well im going to get off here and see if i can figure out a way to prop my foot so i can do some more work on those cast off pieces

there you go!! then we wouldnt feel so stupid when we do it lol i really felt stupid when they kept asking me what i stubed my toe on....all we could figure was maybe the run. lol and of course they looked at me like i was out of my mind or something and the rug? lol i take solice in the fact that someday they to will be old and stupid things are going to happen lol

lol i know its hard to believe but when i was younger i could count on one hand how often i went to see a dr! lol now it seems as if im constently running to the drs or the er. lol yup getting old is not for wimps lol but it beats the alturnavie... lol and just when my knee was healing up. lol i fell getting out of my chair a couple of weeks ago...lol I guess God dosnt want me to be pain free for to long at a time lol I go to see the foot dr tomarrow at 7 am... he may or may not remove the nail...guess i'll find out tomarrow. lol at least i know this is normal for old people lol

well im grounded from the wood shop for awhile again... i was walking around in the livingroom, bairfoot of course...i seldom wear shoes unless im going somewhere and istubed my big toe on whatis anybodys guess!!we think on a wrinkle of the floor over rug...for some reason its always bunching up in different places... anway it riped my big toenail almost off... the nail was sticking almost stright up sooo off to the ER we went... i mean we couldnt just leave it like that....they did xrays and cleaned it up and then the dr sewed the toenail back onto my toe. this is suppose to help it heal faster and promote new nail growth. my toe was giving the dr fits because it kept bleeding lol he said ever time i get it cleaned up it starts bleeding again before i can do what i have to do. lol i told him i take what for most people would be a lot of pain meds..including asprain which thins the blood. that seemed to make him feel better lol a clean cut clear reason for all that blood. He gave me a few shots of ladican to numb the toe then pushed the nail back down....even with the ladicain that HURT! so he gave me some more ladican and sewed the the nail back on then wraped it. we have to change the bandage everyday putting antibotic save on it and call a foot dr tomarrow so i can have it seen with in 2 to 3 days. and i have to keep it elevated. thats the main proublem.... i could tie a plastic bag around the foot to keep sawdust from getting into the bandage but so far i havent figured out how to keep the foot elevated while sawing. lol i took some pictures of some of the stuff iv been doing....nothing fancy to put but the ER trip sort of got in the way of that. lol but i'll try to put them up either later tonigh or tomarrow....

i could use a few less exciting days!!! the day before yesterday i got a call from my oldest daughter and her husband telling me they had to put moose ( there brindle bull dog) down. hes had a proublem with having seizers. Hes been taking meds for it and its been undercontrol for a long time...but the other day the meds didnt work....he just kept having seiezers and seiers even after they got to the vets they couldnt get it to stop either so they had to put him down.... they have no children so moose was more then a beloved pet....so we spent all day yesterday at there house....and got out the bulldog toothpick holder i made for her for christmas and repainted it to look like moose and gave it to them yesterday.they really appreacheted it... they will get another dog but not right away.... there cats on the other had are leading very long lives....luna is a cat i had gotten when we lived in the trailer before they graduated highschool and shes now in her 30s and luna still lives with her....fuzzball was gotten a year or so after she grauteded high school when she lived with her father and yes they are both going strong still...although they cant jump as high as they used to...so there food dishes are down near the floor now.... those 2 cats have outlived charlie...toby...and.coco...and now moose... coco was the dog she had before moose..the other animals were mine...now sheba shes still doing ok...she hates her eyedrops and has to eat soft caned dogfood but other then being more insecure now then she was and wants and need to be with me or by me all the time.... which is ok but it does cut into my woodshop time.... i was in the woodshop working on my wizard and she woke up and found i was not with her so she made her way to the woodshop to get me !!! lol and yes i stoped what i was doing picked her up and we are snuggling here on my chair... lol she has always been here for me and although her job is not physicaly taxing im sure it is emonitonaly taxing on her....and i will be here for her for as long as we have left....and no she is NOT RETIRED....she still goes with me anytime i venture out of the house....although she tends to sleep in her bag more now instead of poking her old gray white head out of the top of her bag. lol a lot of people who see her tell me i should retire her and let her just enjoy her last few years... but i know sheba she would die if i tried to retire her...so i put a pillow in her bag so its nice and soft and i keep nice soft treats for her and a little cup so i can pour some of my water into it so she wont get thursty. lol and yes she gets bits and pieces of any food we might stop to eat. lol so i dont get a lot of wood stuff done as fast as i used to...but thats ok the woods not going anywhere. going to do some painting later so she can sit next to me in her bed on the kitchen table. lol if i ever get anyting finished i'll put it up lol

i cant even count the mastacks iv made over the years lol but i like the dog too lol if you dont want to have him in your show you could always put it in your give away box...im sure theres some one out there somewhere who would love to give him a good home!!!! but i think the other suggestions are wounderful too!!!

love the micraphone... yup misspelled as usualy! lol and being a bit older myself i tend to like the older stuff myself...lol we have a massive vhs-dvd and now jump drive vido collection!!! lol we have the dvr hooked up to one tv and jump drive wrighter hooked up to the other.... i try to copy as many of the old tv shows that i like as i can since tv is our main...well really our only form of enterment lol iv tons of movies to copyed off the tv of course...so lately most of what we watch are vidos...not much of the new programming that we like... anyway im getting off topic AGAIN!!! lol
