  1. There was a post from some time ago that spoke to this. As I recall, it was something along the line of using a toilet paper roll - supposed to be the size of a persons/child's throat - if the piece would drop thru the toilet paper roll it could be swallowed.
  2. Took our granddaughter on this ride this past summer and she kept going back for more.
  3. Makes me want a planer all the more. Hello, Santa, are you listening?
  4. Listen to that little voice in your head while scrolling when it says: "Don't do it"
  5. My gracious! That's quite the spread you have there. Well done and now . . . take a well deserved break from it all and enjoy the holiday season
  6. My granddaughter LOVES(x3) horses. Now I'll HAVE TO do this one as it is SHOUTS horses Really nice cutting you have done there!

  11. My son-in-law just got a Harley. This looks like the perfect Christmas present for him. Thanks for sharing.
  12. Good to know. Thanks for posting.
  13. Yep, I do the same
  14. WOW! Give your hands and eyes a rest - they've earned it.
  15. I came across this suggestion from a previous post - used it a few weeks ago on a piece and it works for me.
  16. I just came across this video - what he says seems logical . . .
  17. This thread is here at a good time for me. A few months ago I bought a used 40+ year old Craftsman bandsaw on a moveable stand at a yard sale. Took it home, cleaned it up and used it a few times. It was OK for cutting small things - limited to 6 inch throat - but seemed to be underpowered and bogged down on attempting to resaw thicker stock. Thought about replacing the bands and discovered nobody has any stock replacement parts for it. So I sold it at our latest yard sale and chalked the small loss to research. One thing I did see in my research was ceramic blocks instead of ball bearings guides. Can anyone speak to that - is one significantly better than the other?
  18. Welcome from Dover, Delaware. You're gonna like it here.
  19. That takes it to a whole new level!
  20. You definitely got the eye for it. Well done!
  21. Nice cutting! What wood and finish did you use? I've been asked to make a few and am concerned about scorching/discoloration from the hot bottoms of pots/pans.
  22. Try using a stethoscope or piece of rubber tubing to home in on the area creating the type of noise you are hearing. That has worked for isolating car motor noises and may help with this gremlin.
  23. Yep - I went that route also - found a plan on the net and used 4x4s for the legs, 2 pieces of 1 1/4" thick wide boards plus a piece of carpet for the scroll saw to bolt to and retractable casters. Very happy with it.
  24. Double your pleasure
