    I look forward to every Monday morning to see what the video is for today. I have to tell you, sometimes while I am cutting and run into a problem, I ask myself "How would Tyler do this?". I usually pick up some tip or trick, and sometimes it's just entertainment. Always a joy. Jerry

    That is really nice Dick. I'm sure your granddaughter will be very pleased with it. In my younger years my wife and I would attend the National Western Stock show, and the crowd would really cheer on the barrel racers. Was always exciting. Jerry

    Been a while since I've posted anything. After doing the refinishing of an antique clock, which took me half the summer, I thought I would back into the swing of things. So, I picked a project that would be simple, at least I thought it would be simple. SIMPLE, it was not. Was about 140 inside cuts, and those were the killer. But, I did get through it. I did find out I hadn't lost my touch. It is about 16 inches long and 6 inches high at its highest point. I used 3/4-inch poplar. I got the idea to do this after seeing @artisanpirate videos. Thanks, Tyler, for telling me where you got the pattern. Now, need to get ready for Christmas. Jerry

    First, David, you hit the nail on the head- practice, practice, practice. I agree with you that most of what you find on you tube is people showing their skills and not teaching. There are some that are pretty good and give good tips. Will have to get back to you on that. And blades, so many to choose from, but you will find the ones you like best. One of our members, Denny Knappen, sells Pegas blades and he can help you a lot. And then the folks here are very helpful. You will enjoy your stay here. When I first joined, I spent many hours going through the posts here. You will soon find out this site and scrolling can and will become very addictive. Welcome to Scroll Saw Village.     Thanks for your response Richard. I'll have to give it a try. From what you said the danish oil will give it a glossy shine. I think my Ace hardware carries it. Jerry

    @rafairchild2 you said "My one regret is using the minwax poly. I think it looks too thick, I was going for high shine. I will go back to Danish Oil." What kind of danish oil to you use. There are so many out there including Watco- but isn't Watco a stain. I'm curious, would like to give it a try. Jerry
