Richard, Nice work! I was just reading Exodus this morning....I haven't gotten to the parting of the Red Sea yet though... just the burning bush....Now that would be a difficult one to carve!

Thanks Paul, This is the valentine I think I will try for my intro to scroll sawing class. I e-mailed Steve regarding permission to use it in the class but haven't heard from him. Do you have any ideas how to reach out to him? I used the e-mail [email protected]

Thanks Jerry, Yes, I timed myself on this one to see how long it would take me. It was really pretty quick. Unlike carving a carousel horse (which I am doing right now) will take me months to complete

I decided to take a break from carving for a couple hours and I do miss just scroll sawing. It was soooo fun to cut this little guy out and add a little stain to him. This is a Steve Good Pattern. It is simply amazing what patterns he comes up with in his creative mind. If you do use his patterns, please consider donating to support him. He has a donate button right on his website.

I am so amazed by your work! Those bridges are so small between your cuts. Do you ever have to pull out the CA glue when things do not go as planned?

In need of a Valentine pattern for a card for a class
MarieC posted a topic in General Scroll Sawing
I am teaching another scroll saw class. (Previously, I received a tremendous amount of help from folks in the village who gave me input for my first class). I have decided since I am teaching it in late January I would offer how to make a simple but pretty wooden Valentine card. I was so inspired by Paul's @Scrappile wooden Christmas card... that I thought it would be fun to scrollsaw a Valentine and glue it onto some red cardstock. I have tried searching patterns and ideas on here but most would either not make a good card or they are too difficult for beginner scrollers. Thank you ahead of time for any ideas that you may have. -

Wow! glad to see this one. I haven't had much time on my saw either. In the middle of carving right now... something quite large.
