  5. Doug nailed that one. I have heard that same advice several times before, I personally, have never had that problem with my saw, not sure why some would have it and not others. Thankfully it is an easy fix Dick heppnerguy
  6. not sure what is going on with you but I hope they figure things our with you soon. Not much fun to have no certain results. I guess that is why they call doctoring a practice. Dick heppnerguy
  7. Well, I am at it again. I got this pattern from here, somewhere. I download patterns I like and then they sit dormant until I run across them sometime in the future and decide it is about time to give it a go. As you know from some of my previous posts, I can not seem to find whom I got the pattern from . So once again, I can not find this pattern post and so I do not know who to credit for making it. my question to all of you is, how do you remember who made the patterns that you downloaded oh so long ago and never got around to making? This one I put into a Dollar tree frame. It has the cheap cardboard backing that I spray painted black to help the picture stand out better. After i took the photo, I saw the background error. I will have to pay closer attention to what I am doing with the frame, I guess. I just started to frame my things because it has become apparent to me that it helps a lot to look a lot better on the wall. I am buying Dollar Tree frames and I pick them up at garage sales too. That way I can sell or give my pieces away with next to no additional costs to myself. I decided to cut this one for my grandson because he is into riding his motorcycle on trips and it looks like him and his bike to me. Dick heppnerguy
  8. Ron, that is a nice and a generous offer. Thanks for being you and thinking of others. Dick heppnerguy
  9. I did not realize that the letters were cut that way and it through me at first. Funny I did not realize that when I saw it. I guess the middle of the letter O and the middle of the letter P being in the position that it is in, is something I just did not realize one could do that way. I would have just looked for a different font. Good thing to learn. I will use this in the future sometimes. One never stops learning from others on the this sight.. Dick heppnerguy
  10. Looks like your display would catch the eye of anyone passing your booth. Nice assortment of nicely cut things. Did you stack cut your commissioned items, or borrow them back to display ? Very nicely done Dick heppnerguy
  11. Thanks, I grabbed my copy. I will try to remember that you were the one that sent me this link. I do not like to post something that someone else has posted before me. I don't want anyone to think that i am trying to outshine them, as I do not try to do that. But when I cut it , I will try to send you a photo of it, so you can see that I did in fact cut it. Thank you for sharing Dick' heppnerguy
  12. One of the best horse head patterns that I have seen. It is a take your time and eventually you will get to the finished product, type of pattern. I would enjoy trying that one myself, Thank for showing us another of your great pieces Dick heppnerguy
  13. Nice job with your cutting. I am now going to be using frames on most everything I offer for sale. It is worth an extra buck, that is for sure. Dick heppnerguy
  14. Ralph, It won't be too long before I am going to be able to get to your house and take a personal tour of your shop and to get to meet you and hopefully, your family too. You have a lot of great things going for you there in Aloha. Dick heppnerguy
  15. I just finished my 'free give away' on my Facebook promotion page and I thought it would be fun to have someone I have never met, chose my winning name. I had 873 entries and I gave her a choice of anything in my scrolling section. I had her call me so I could find out which piece she wanted. She was so excited and already knew what she wanted. I mailed it out to her this morning and added a wooden name for her little daughter. she later picked a number as my winner. I was delighted to find out that the person she selected was in the military. How is worked was i first wrote numbers and as each new person entered, I simply added their name to the next open number. I thought I would get about 50 new likes to my page by doing this but was overwhelmed and closed my contest early. It is worth every bit of my time to have so many people anxious to get one of my wood pieces for free. I will probably do this on an annual basis. I have gotten people from all over the world and the US as well. A good way to promote your page. Dick heppnerguy
  16. I have just started using frames and I too believe it is worth a buck or two and makes the work much nicer. I buy mine from garage sales and the Dollar Tree, I really do not need to add any costs to my work to invest only $1 or less to set it off. Dick heppnerguy
  17. on your way to your 100 th sale. a pat on your back from me. Once others see the portrait then others will surely want one. Word of mouth can bring about many other sales. Congratulations, A happy customer is with a lot more than anything else you can do Dick heppnerguy

  21. Onder, Thank you for your wonderful pattern, I will try to keep better track of who's patterns I am making. I download them and then i can not remember who the author of the pattern was. i apologize for not being able to give you credit for your wonderful pattern. I hope to cut more of your patterns in the near future. Dick heppnerguy

  24. Keeping the wife happy with items for her kitchen, helps keep wonderful, warm meals on the table. Nice job and your thoughts are in the correct area too Dick heppnerguy
  25. i had a request to see if I could make a piece from this first photo. I said I would try. I made a basic outline pattern and tried penciling in the shading, It ended up looking like a camo thing, instead of what I was after.. Being frustrated at my lack of ability I decided to try to make a segment item instead. Guess what.. I failed at that attempt too. I guess that I either decide to spend some time in the university here and take time to learn from Travis or stop considering requests that are above my abilities Dick heppnerguy
