  1. thanks again. I have the book and author written down. I will ask for it for Christmas. Who knows, I may not have to purchase it myself. Boy am I a cheap skate Dick heppnerguy
  2. Most of Steve Goods patterns are quite simple to cut and often appear to be a complex fret piece but most are not very challenging and often give the end appearance of maybe being most complex then they really are. Dick heppnerguy
  3. cool idea. keeping your work and your memory alive for years to come. Dick heppnerguy
  4. Wow thanks for the great information. I love history and often wonder how much is misconstrude or remembered incorrectly and how much is really factual and completely true as it happened.. Loved this story. Thanks again. Dick heppnerguy
  5. not really but sh did like it Dick heppnerguy
  6. I am, what I consider a mediocre scroller so that means I do not take all the time needed for perfection, a lot of the time. Especially on quick ones like this one Dick heppnerguy
  7. Yes Marge, an electric one Dick heppnerguy
  8. I was looking for a quick piece to cut for a new decoration and I found this one on Steve Good's page and liked it , so here is how it turned out. I only used BB Birch ply so it isn't anything really special but i still enjoyed cutting it and giving it to my wife. Dick heppnerguy
  9. those will look really good on the tree. I bet they will be added to as the years go by. Nice gift ideas too Dick heppnerguy
  10. Perfect to the Christmas season decorations. This one should be a nice reminder, every year when it comes out to help decorate the house for Christmas Dick heppnerguy
  11. Nice to see your new patterns. I always look forward to seeing what you will make next Dick heppnerguy
  12. nice project. I can never figure out how people can come up with so many ideas for patterns. I guess I am just not creative enough to understand. Steve Good has been making new patterns for so many years and never seems to run out of thing to make as a pattern. He has helped so many of us to start our scrolling hobby. You have made Steve and yourself proud with this project, for sure Dick heppnerguy
  13. Really well cut. I love Jim Blume's patterns. Hope to get to one really soon too Dick heppnerguy
  14. That name seems to be familiar to me too. There are only a few original buildings from that time frame still on the street there. If I remember correctly, they had a couple of fires there that destroyed a lot of the original buildings from that time frame. The newspaper that was running during the Earp error is still there and has a weekly news paper still printing news papers. Dick heppnerguy
  15. The Earps and Doc Holiday were charged with murder after the gun fight. There was a lot of drama added to the movie to make it interesting and that is truly was. I read where one history author wrote that Wyatt and Doc Holiday had robbed a stage coach and The Clanton's knew about it and that was the real reason for the gun fight. Don't know if anyone can be sure of exactly what happened but I found that rather interesting Dick heppnerguy
  16. I believe he will, also. He is such a historian and has seen the film 'Tombstone' many times so that had a lot to do with his excitement. He is in his upper 20's so no loner a kid with fantasies. Dick heppnerguy
  17. Always enjoy chatting with you when I am unable to drive to your house and spend some one on one time with you and Patti. Dick
  18. I do not know how many times I have been there with visitors but I have yet to become bored by going there. Did you do the silver mine tours while you were there? That is always the first place I head for when I go there. The cemetery is truly a fun place to visit, for sure. One of the Earp boys is buried in Portland, Oregon, as will as Sacajawia's son that she had on the winter she and her husband signed on as guides for the Lewis and Clark expedition in 1805 but he is buried in Southern Oregon Dick heppnerguy
  19. My grandson was so excited about that trip and he has watched that movie a bunch of times and is very familiar with the history of Tombstone. He is in his upper 20's so it is not a kid thing for him. Dick heppnerguy
  20. That was the style back then. Tombstone is not nearly as hot as it is in Phoenix or Tucson, as it is quite a bit higher in altitude. Come see us and I will take you there. It is a really fun and interesting place to visit. Tombstone was started because of the discovery of silver and they have silver mines all under Tombstone of which one can take a great mine tour there also. Dick heppnerguy
  21. oops i guess I forgot look again, I will post it immediately. Getting too darn old, I guess Dick heppnerguy
  22. How nice is that? You must live fairly close to Jim and his wife. I know how you feel as I have made a few good friends through The Village and I take the time, whenever possible to personally contact and go meet anyone on here, that I possibly can. Dick heppnerguy
  23. me too. We have a great family and this gal is has one personality that makes everyone feel like they are her best friend. Her reaction to anyone's gifts is like it is so perfect and she could not be any happier to have received whatever it may be. Fun to give to her Dick heppnerguy
  24. I will but it will probably be a little down the road as it is an hours drive to the wood store in Mesa. Dick heppnerguy
  25. A couple of weeks ago I took one of my grandsons to Tombstone, Arizona. He was very excited about the trip and had a real love for the movie "Tombstone" and very familiar with what we were about to see. He told me on the way home that he really wanted me to make him something as a reminder of our trip there, for Christmas. This is what I came up with for him and I am pretty sure he will love it when he opens it. Dick heppnerguy
