  1. I have been wanting to make a world map too but never seem to get around to doing it. Your different woods really make this one stand out well. Beautiful and useful project Dick heppnerguy
  2. I always enjoy your pieces and the framing you also do to each one. these should go well if you can get them in the market at those places. Dick heppnerguy
  3. Good luck with this one. I think you will find that things will go very well. You have a nice variety and it all looks great. Dick heppnerguy
  4. Brilliant. What a fun piece. Great imagination and job well done Dick heppnerguy
  5. nice item that puts a new twist on the pattern. I like that Dick heppnerguy
  6. You have built an amazing bussiness with your puzzles. I admire how well you have been able to sell your things. the nice thing about the puzzles is they are not that time consuming to make compared to a lot of other scroll pieces but you have certainly found your nitch. So happy for you. Dick heppnerguy
  7. Super well done. Jim Blume is a great pattern maker. I have yet to cut one but I sure will Dick hepperguy
  8. there is not a thing to not like about this one. The cutting and color for it a terrific. Take a bow Dick heppnerguy
  9. First of all,,,,beautiful work. I looks so cool all lit up. Second... being asked by Sue Mey to cut one of her patterns for her, is outstanding indeed, and what an honor. It would be the same if JGR asked someone to cut and finish on of her intarsia patterns for her. When the best are asking you to do something for them, how can not perk your ego a lot. Wow that is impressive. Dick heppnerguy
  10. I like the spider idea, if I ever cut another I will give that a try. I can easily imagine how it will look. Great idea Dick heppnerguy
  11. I don't know about that but they both looked me up and thanked me and gave me a hug. So I figured I scored at least for today Dick heppnerguy
  12. Rodney, thank you for the nice compliment. I found the wood at the wood store and the price was really good so I could not pass it up. I have never seen this wood at the wood store before and I do not remember the name of it but it was a nice hard wood and cut quite nicely so I think I may just be picking up quite a bit more next trip there. Dick
  13. Thanks for the information. I am not familiar with either of those pattern makers and I will look them up and if I find the one that made the pattern, I will buy the pattern from him. I am not sure how close I was with this pattern as I made it from my memory and that really is not that good any more. Dick heppnerguy
  14. I enjoyed attending the celebration today with 2 of my grandchildren. I gave the teacher crosses to each of the girls to give to their teachers and both teachers looked me up and thanked me for them and I also got a hug from both of them. It was a very enjoyable time for me. Dick heppnerguy
  15. thanks Ralph. They are pretty easy projects so that helps with the end results. Dick heppnerguy
  16. The Arizona one is basically the state flag with some decorations added. I am with you though on the Oregon piece. Dick heppnerguy
  17. I sure hope so. It is what she said she wanted Dick
  18. Never heard about the history guy. Thanks will go check it out. Dick heppnerguy
  19. I could not find the place I purchased the plans but this looks like the same piece and it is $8 less than I payed. Check it out. https://www.etsy.com/listing/601084286/super-reallywood-combine-pdf-download?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=wooden+combine&ref=sr_gallery-1-13
  20. John Deere colors, as I am sure you already know. I am not very happy with the way the paint came out but I am going to try and improve on it. Wish me luck. Hey hope things are going well for you. I have thought about you several times lately and wondering how you are doing. Dick heppnerguy
  21. My wife's great grandfather invented and had manufactured, the first gasoline tractor. He sold more then 10,000 of them. It was called "Little Bull". When the company, he hired to make them, could not keep up on the quoted number they had agreed on, he found out it was because the engines were taking them longer to produce then they said they could make in the time frame, so her great grandfather started a company to make the engines for the tractor, in order to keep up with the amount he needed to have. The company he started is still in business today although they no longer are in the tractor engine business and you are most likely very familiar with the company......it is Toro. Did you see the name familiarity here? Little BULL and TORO? Dick heppnerguy
  22. I was rather disappointed about how it functioned and did not find it very helpful at all. I did modify it some and that may have been why. Really not interested in making another one though Dick heppnerguy
  23. As a person who served in the Army, I was invited to two of my granddaughter's school to have lunch in honor of Veterans Day. Because I will be attending there for two of different girls, I will also be in two different classes. So I decided to make a couple of these teacher crosses for the girls to give to their perspective teachers, as a little gift to honor their teachers who do such a great service to our kids, helping to educate them. I saw a photo on another scroll sight of one of these crosses, so I looked and looked to see if I could obtain a pattern from the designer. I was unable to find it again, so I just made one on Inkscape from the way I remember it to look. Not sure how close I was to how it was originally made and if I find out who the pattern maker is, I will pay him for the pattern, if he or she has a charge for them. Dick heppnerguy
  24. I have a Granddaughter who is married and her husband is in the Army, so they move every couple of years or so to a different state. She has some state plaques I made her of a couple of the states they have lived in and she asked me for these two so that she would be up to date on them. They are now living in Arizona, not far from where my wife and I live so we get to see then a little more often now. Both of these plaque patterns were made be Sam Custodio. I have cut several of his patterns and enjoyed doing these as well. They are made from 1/4 inch BB ply and have two layers. I used a number 2 MGT Pegas blade. Dick heppnerguy
  25. Thanks. I had my share of problems making it. It had 30 pages of pattern and instructions Dick heppnerguy
