    I talked with one of Les' daughters last night. She said Faye was better and was at his side when he passed. The family is in total shock.

    I heard from him the other day and he said they were going to insert a breathing tube so I have a feeling he's not up to posting here. He and Faye are in serious condition right now. Prayers appreciated.

    I use 1/2" tubes and they hold gross of blades. I bought a set from Amazon that is a plastic rack with 60 tubes for about $15. To edit: I checked my tubes and you are correct. They don't hold a gross of blades. I was thinking they did. Ooops!

    I had a type 1 as the motor tag stated. I used to stick used blades to the motor housing.

    Actually, with the high tension I have them under, they stay together. It remains to be seen how they wear. Will either one lose its tensil strength faster or will they wear at the same rate. I'll run the saw a bit slower to reduce the heat. A bit of experimentation should give me some idea. I get the impression that this is a new idea. Maybe one of the blade mfgrs will try making a thicker blade with finer teeth for those "wide kerf" situations. Scrolling is fun!

    I have no experience with spirals but I've heard they leave ragged edges. That would go against what I'm trying to achieve. I guess I could try a #7 or bigger but I want the clean smooth cut of the 5's.

    I'm going to cut another one of the spiral bowls that I made a while back but this time I want to cut a wider kerf that the last one but I don't want to use a larger blade as it will give me a rougher cut. So, I dreamed up something that I tried and it seems to work but I thought I'd ask the question, so here goes. I'm going to try putting two brand new blades, Pegas #5 mgt, side by side so as to get the wider kerf but still have the nice smooth finish. I did try it in a piece of scrap wood and it seems to work. Anybody ever tried this and if so, any negative experience? I'm using a lot of tension so as to keep the blades tight together. This pattern was originally designed to be cut on a laser cutter.

    Where I live, it seems like nothing ever goes down except the sun. I did go to Costco yesterday to gas up the car and the price of regular had gone down $.15 a gallon from 2 weeks ago. Still at $3.74/9 though. About a dollar higher than anyplace else. I'll be surprised if wood/lumber goes down significantly. We can sit and watch all the freighters sitting out in the harbor waiting to be off-loaded. It seems like they never move.

    I'd think it would be the same on two sides with a center line down the middle. Should be as easy as finding a picture of the stool you have in mind. Not a tough one at all.

    If it's in really good condition and runs quiet, $300 might still be ok but I'd stiil offer $175 and see where it goes. I just bought a Hegner for $40. You just never know.

    I sold my type 1 all rebuilt with Jim Dandy lift and custom built bench for $325 as an example.
