    Thanks for the kind comments. The hardest part of the project for me was making the hinges. Getting the hinge pin holes in the perfect spot was a challenge.

    It isn't really that tricky, just takes time. Inlay a piece of alder first then come back and inlay the peruvian walnut.

    Made using maple, alder and Peruvian walnut. Dovetails all done on my scroll saw.

    I have a small Rikon 324TG and use it mainly for resawing. I have bought numerous brands of blades including two different high dollar carbide blades. I was very disappointed on the quality of cut I was getting until I tried a 1/2" wood slicer. I had been 3/4" blades but I don't think I could get enough tension on them.

    Received a flyer from Rockler yesterday. They have a black Friday deal on a Jet JWBS-14SFX for $1399. I will buy nothing but a Jet piece of equipment now mainly because of their excellent customer service. They also have the best warranty. Good luck deciding.
