  1. Beautiful! Wish my Baptist pastor dad was still around for me to make him one.
  2. Nice job. Pretty piece of wood.
  3. You’re right. I went ahead and wrapped it so I’d stop playing with it. I’m so glad we didn’t have cell phones and video games. I try to find gifts for my grandchildren that make them want to get outside, be creative, or use their imagination.
  4. I like the idea of the relief cutting too Paul. I may try that using Walnut and Oak one of these days. I can’t really claim this pattern as my own. Just one I modified a good bit to my liking.
  5. Yes. but it's not that difficult unless it's too big, odd shaped or top heavy. I balanced a few things on it and just had trouble with one. This tree and dice were no trouble and the tree is 8" tall. It says not to use metal but I don't think it's a problem if it's non ferrous. I put a brass mouse on it and it worked. This is the one I bought.
  6. The reindeer is old news, but for those that do shows this might be an attention grabber. I bought this for my grandsons 12th birthday on December 30th. Gonna be hard to let it go. I don't know why when you post videos they have to be downloaded. Just imagine the reindeer spinning in the photo if you don't want to download the video. IMG_7028.mov
  7. Beautiful job!
  8. Very nice, Paul!
  9. Thank you! Slowly getting back to normal.
  10. Thank you! Yes, it was a piece of 1/4" ply from an old dresser drawer bottom I believe. Didn't even have to stain it.
  11. Thank you! I'm doing well except for some lingering soreness that make things like breaking the seal on a jelly jar tough. Hopefully that will pass with time as I love PBJs.
  12. Thank you, Rick. The cedar was 3/4”. Cuts much faster than the 1/2” red oak and I’m used to cutting.
  13. Thank you! Yes, you may.
  14. Cut in some pretty Walnut.
  15. I’ve cut this pattern many times. A friend gifted me some wood including several pieces of cedar. I don’t really like cutting cedar as it’s so soft and I’m used to the resistance of oak so it’s much easier to make a mistake, for me anyway. He requested this cutting and this piece of cedar worked well with it. I used super glue and saw dust to fill the cracks in the knot.
  16. Nice job! Third of many cuttings to come. It’s a wonderfully addictive hobby.
  17. Great job, and maple was a great choice. They should be nice and tough. Lots of work but lots of people will be happy.
  18. I love finding accidental patterns. Nice job.
  19. Beautiful job on an eye catching pattern! Love the finish
  20. They look great! Glad they were sellers. You do beautiful work!
  21. That’s very nice and definitely an eye catcher. Hoping you have just enough stock and you sell out on your last event! You really do such beautiful work.
  22. Nice job! I like it!
  23. One of the great parts of our hobby is turning trash to art. This piece of oak had an ugly yellow sign painted on it and was about 8” longer with a big crack in one end. Made the perfect piece for one of my favorite patterns to cut.
