  1. I wanted a Captain America hitch cover and since they cost around $60 and lots of reviews I read said they rust pretty quickly I decided to have some fun making my own. I put 4 coats of spar urethane on it. When it wears out I'll be ready to make a different one.
  2. Thank you! I’m truly blessed with my family. I’ll take that over riches for sure.
  3. Great job on all of those Timothy! For me the barn one is perfection. Everything works together on it. Just a great piece of art!
  4. Thanks for the kind words everyone. Shows how what makes something valuable/special can have nothing to do with it's monetary value.
  5. Great job! Also a beautiful collection. I'd want that mounted strong enough to climb on.
  6. One of my blessings is that I get to take two of my grandkids to school everyday. My 9 year old grandson, Ryder, a big baseball fan, surprised me one morning this week with a pattern he drew and wanted me to cut. He really did a great job. I think I had explained to him once a while back about bridges. I didn't know he was really listening.
  7. Very nice, Barb. I love Robins. They nest in my Crepe Myrtles every year. I love watching them hunting worms in my front yard. My dad told me when they turn their heads they are listening for worms. From what I read, they are actually turning their head to get a better look because their eyes are on the side of their heads. I always think of him when I'm watching them.
  8. Me too Marg. One reason I gave up deer hunting was being completely lost a couple of times. I do like hiking, but only when there’s a trail.
  9. That's the kind of heirlooms I care about! One of my favorite things I got from my dad are two larger rocks he got out of the creek in The Smoky Mountains. Another is his shoeshine box. I honestly thought while making this holder that I hope one of my kids or grandkids want it someday. Whenever I think that might be the case I put "Pop" on the back, rather than my initials.
  10. I made a hiking stick holder for my Lord Of The Rings bedroom.
  11. Nice work!
  12. So many excellent projects! Great work!
  13. All pretty pieces!
  14. Looks great!
  15. Both look great to me. I’ve had that trouble with Cedar also. I don’t like to cut it for that reason, and it seems to bother my sinuses more than most wood.
  16. Wow! Looks great!
  17. Nice. I am lousy with a wood burning tool!
  18. Nice job and gesture! Scatter kindness.
  19. You’re off to a great start! Welcome to the addiction.
  20. Very nice!!!
  21. Short notice or not, great job!
  22. Really, really nice all around!
  23. Very cool project! I can definitely relate to thinking something I did is trash and realizing latter that it’s fine. Glad you didn’t chunk it.
  24. Thank you. I really admire him also. I'm a bit mental because I stayed up late last night and remade the pattern. I did intend for it to be a bit rough, but after cutting it I think it's a bit too much so, plus it makes him look too mean. Here's my second effort, smoothed out a bit in places and minus a few lines. Not a huge difference. Like I said, I'm a bit mental. I'll get around to cutting it sometime.
  25. Thank you Rodney. I saw the great looking patterns you did in New Patterns. Nice job!
