  1. All very nice and are sure to be welcomes and loved. I have about 10, possibly more cat sitter patterns, they are great gifts.
  2. Good stuff Edward. Good luck with the next one mate.
  3. Thanks Scott. This something I am acutely aware off. I completely stopped cutting about 6 years ago as I was making wooden toys along with the normal scrolled items and the demand just got to much. I was down the shed all hours and I got sick of it. So threw in the towel. Only doing what I want now, no special orders, and if it sells good, if not so what
  4. Well, looks like it's going to be busy time in the ol' shed for a couple of weeks. I think I'll just ask the War Office to bring my tea down there each night. Did very well at the markets this morning. They ran from 9am - 1pm and I left about $600 better of then when I came. Now to re-stock for last one of the year, in a fortnight's time.
  5. Very nice Les, Yep, I have a finger that looks just like that at the moment
  6. ONYA Oscar. Put all your cash from sales in jar, mate and then use it to get blades, timber finishes etc, and maybe a new tool every now and again, and it will be a great hobby, wont cost you a thing. BTW, they are both very nice pieces.
  7. Some more puzzles I have completed. The stand-up ones have been cut from 27mm pine All set for a market tomorrow morning. I also have some of my items in a shop until Xmas, so we'll see how we go.
  8. The bug has bitten The Wooden Teddy Bear is where I get my blades along with other bits and pieces. They have excellent service and get my package to Australia within about a week. Other will have other ideas, but I find they are a one stop shop for a lot of my needs so rather then order from a number of places, they do the job. The Wooden Teddy Bear, Inc.
  9. That's what I call "adding a whole new dimension". really great piece.
  10. A simple solution to not very nice problem. Well done Les.
  11. Nice one Garry, How thick was the timber you cut it from, if you don't mind me asking.

  13. WOW, Absolutely gob-smacked. I have never seen a jigsaw puzzle turned into such a magnificent piece of art before. Beautiful.
  14. The way I do it is. Print my photo Spray a coat of clear lacquer on the photo Spray contact adhesive onto the back of the photo and onto the board you are going to fix it to. allow the contact to become dry (tacky) Carefully place the photo in position on the backer and press down from one edge. Roll or hammer (With a piece of timber between the hammer and photo) the photo down hard. cut you puzzle assemble the puzzle and give it another coat of gloss lacquer.
  15. What a super effort for your first show Tammi. I cut and paint my pieces and my wife and daughter sell them. If our dinner relied upon me talking to strangers and selling, we'd be pretty skinny in our house I like you patterns too. Thanks

Excellent piece. I'd place money on it being one of the nicer gifts.. Nothing wrong with the painting mate. it looks super nice.
  24. Very nice barb, Hope you bring none home from your show. Now, I must admit, you had me buggered with the "Unicorn Spit". My 1st thought was "She's having a lend" . and I must admit I looked up Unicorn Spit and it is not in the same shop as Rocking horse Sh*t.
  25. Very nice Gordie.
