  1. Beautiful piece Denny. That looks like it could be very delicate.
  2. That's still very fair, Denny. And with the excellent service from Artcraftersonline.com, the difference in cost of shipping is well worth it.
  3. You're a busy man, Kevin. Keep up the great work.
  4. I agree that color can make a piece POP! Very nice, Charlie.
  5. Neat projects!
  6. A welcome from North Carolina. I also have a WEN but I have the cheaper model. I understand the one you have is a fairly nice saw. The only thing I didn't like about that saw was the release was all the way at the back to lower the upper arm... but my saw doesn't have the capability of raising the upper arm. Currently working to upgrade my saw right now. Hope to see some posts of your work. Also, don't hesitate to ask questions, There is a vast amount of knowledge by the members of this forum.
  7. These are two of Steve Good's patterns I cut for my grandchildren (trucks) and son and daughter (cross). I actually cut one other truck for another grandson but he is a little older and I plan to stain his rather than color. The colors or the other three grandchildren's favorite colors. I still have to glue and spray a finish. I plan on using Polyacrylic.
  8. Another fantastic piece Tbow. The worm hole frame sets it off perfectly.
  9. Very nice job! Really like your font. Is that in the pattern or did you add it before you cut?
  10. Beautiful! Love your live edge and the grain is fantastic. That is a challenging piece. I cut it myself a few months back. Challenging but a lot of fun to cut. Great job!
  11. I've water colored some of my pieces and them sprayed them with polyacrylic which is water base and haven't had any problems. Noted my first couple coats are light. After a light sanding, I give them a couple more heavier coats to bring out the sheen I want.
  12. Neat job, Charlie! The BB really makes the piece.
  13. I really like the antique look the wood gives the piece. You did a fantastic job, Tbow. I put splines in the corners of the frames I build but that is the first time I've seen them placed on the face of the frame. I'll have to check into that. Thanks for sharing!
  14. I agree with most comments that a light stain, possibly Minwax Natural, would darken it slightly and bring out some of the grain. My niece is dating a lineman and she had me cut a design to give to him for his birthday. He just made supervisor and doesn't have to climb the poles anymore unless it is for something specific. Great job you your cutting by the way. I understand Basswood is somewhat soft. How did it cut in your opinion?
  15. Awesome job, Denny. I'm sure the happy couple will be greatful.
  16. Nice job, Jim. You're knocking it out of the park with those letters. Something a lot of people have difficulty with.
  17. I'm liking it as well. Like you said, the customer is always right.
  18. Busy, busy, busy! Awesome job, Barb. I'm doing good to knock one project out per week... unless I'm doing a Jim Blume pattern and then it takes me 4 to 6 weeks.
  19. Great job Paul! What wood did you use on the barn? Beautiful grain!
  20. I agree with the consensus, nothing wrong with the pictures and some outstanding scrolling! I'm not much into scrolling cars unless they are like the Russ Beard pattern but the T-Bird really strikes my fancy! I also really like the cross with hummingbird.
  21. A busy man! Great work. And as far as junk in the background, that's just projects waiting to happen!
  22. I'm sure the kids will make good use of it. Nice job!
  23. I must say that was a "Great Save." My wife can't understand why I save all of my scrap... even 1/4 X 1/4 twigs I saw off the end of pieces. I can use them to stir epoxy. Want not, waste not! Great job on your ornaments.
  24. Dick, you've been busy with some outstanding work... but remember your health is more important. Be sure to take care of yourself.
  25. I finished this Jim Blume pattern using Birch and Maple stained with Minwax Natural. The Birch has a black backer and the Maple backer is stained with Minwax Espresso. The frames are custom cut using pre-fab framing material. Both pieces were sprayed with four coats of Polyacrylic with light sanding between coats. They were cut using Pegas 2/0 and 0 spiral blades. Thanks, Jim, for a great pattern. I do enjoy cutting his patterns and already have the next one ready to cut although I have a couple commissions I'll have to work in there somewhere.
