    I kinda agree with RabidAlien. Looks perfect to me. I can't see any missing pieces... even after you mentioned them. Looks like an outstand job to me. Something you may want to try, If I spray paint my backer board black and then hit it with a clear while it is still tacky, the result with cause the black to crinkle giving it a texture. This doesn't work on all projects (esthetics wise) but I have had a few that I did it intentionally with pleasing effects. I have also had rattle cans of paint that seem to cure at different intervals, even from the same case... some as long as a couple days.

    Did someone say Pete has been busy? Very nice projects! I've also been trying to increase my inventory with some smaller projects like ornaments and such using up some of my scrap wood. I've got three events in October that people want me to set up a booth. Good luck with yours. I hope you have just what your community wants and you sell out fast.

    To me, that's what scroll sawing is all about... Fun! There are very few bottling companies that cap their bottles any more that are not twist-off but regardless, the nostalgia of a bottle opener is always nice. Great job, Eric.

    Looks great to me, Denny. Took me a little searching before I seen what Frank saw. You could probably cut a little piece to fill in and it would never be known... or leave it as is to see if others catch it. You can always say you meant to do it that way.

    This is a Steve Good pattern cut from 3/4-inch treated pine ply with a 1/4-inch pine backer. The paint is actually black but looks blue in the picture due to the poor lighting. The backer is stained Natural to contrast with the black. Wanted something easy to cut although the treated pine was a little tough on the blades.

    This is a Steve Good pattern of a leash rack. The screws are ready to mount the piece.

    Thanks Ralph. The area I live in is big on horses and western activity. I set up a booth a couple weekends back that was at a weekend trail ride. There were probably 500+ horses at that event. My sales didn't go well but I got a few commissions. I did get a better idea of what the people in that area were looking for. The area has a lot of indian heritage so I'm going to try to focus some attention on that.

    I decided to do an easier project. This is a Steve Good pattern cut from 1/4 Pine with 1/4 Oak as the backer. The front was stained with Natural and the Oak was stained with Red Oak Minwax. Just the pine was finished with a clear gloss. I did touch the bullet holes in the backer board with a torch to give them a black char on the edges. I used Pegas #2/0 MGT blades. It was fun getting away from spirals for a project that I could use straight blades. I believe it was John that said my last "Pair of Colts" was click bait. I promised I would make it correct.

    Thanks John. Of the two, I'm partial to the top (Maple) piece. Both turned out better than I expected but there is something about the frame on the Maple that pleases my eyes. And as far as "Click Bang" X 2, I'm actually cutting a Steve Good pattern right now that is really "A Pair of Colts" in the .45 cal. category.
