  1. Wow, the lettering is beautiful! Well done.
  2. Great Job Ron, but I thought it had some stars on it that allow you to get around the board quicker....maybe I am thinking of another game. I love the banding, did you router that first and then glued it in? again great work!
  3. Oh, bummer! See if someone you gave them to once they open them will send you pictures. I would love to see them!
  4. Rolf, thank you for all your help and suggestions. It is about an 8hr drive from our house but we are planning to meet friends for Christmas and they live 2hrs from where the Saw is located...so now I need to figure out how I can fanegal(sp?) A way to drive those extra 2 hours and back...and bake an apple pie before the Christmas eve party
  5. Pretty work. I like the idea of using different woods...it would be fun to use Paduk or red heart for the sleigh. Thanks for your videos!
  6. Rolf, thank you....Looking at the table top, does that look okay to you and also does that top look very used to you? thanks again
  7. Question to @kmmcrafts @Rolf @DRugerH... I own a 2017 Subaru Outback, would I be able to transport this saw in that? Should I take the saw off the stand to transport it? Thank you!
  8. Thank you for that information. I never even noticed that about the wheels, that would be a huge plus for me since I am such a weakling!
  9. Kevin, thank you. It is a ways away but we will be heading in that area around Christmas. I am glad you were able to hear the video and that you thought it sounded good...that means a lot to me. Do you know what years the G426 were built? Thanks again!
  10. So, I am looking at this 26 inch Hawk that this person has for sale (I would like a larger saw). She is the second owner and she has not used it much and could not speak for the previous owner. I am really curious as to how you think it sounds. I had her take some pictures and a video of it because she lives quite far from where I am. She wants $275 for it. She said it doesn't vibrate (those are pellets being stored under the saw for her pellet stove - had that clarified earlier) and there is no rust on it... either on the saw or stand. I Would really like your opinion expecially you folks who own Hawks. Hawk video .mp4
  11. Very nice! What was the wood you used?
  12. Frank, My daughter would love this! I will look for your pattern. Thanks for sharing.
  13. Ron, beautiful work... Wow, that is a lot of work that you do to get that beautiful finish...I will have to try that as well. I saved what you do in my files...thanks again!
  14. Really nice idea! Your family will cherish them! I am sure it won't take you too long to cut them out either!
  15. Wow! that is beautiful! I love Peacocks...really well done!
  16. Very nice and a great story! It really is very beautiful
  17. Very Nice Tbow! @Charlie E makes great patterns!
  18. Yes, I get it....I really try to get good old wood from estate sales...it seems like all the really old pieces are better quality if you can get them...I have bought wood at Ocooch at your recommendation and so far so good....I have not bought plywood from them. I heard Intermountain Wood Products BB in Spokane has better plywood than Windsor. I may check them out soon.
  19. Jimmy, I too do not like crummy plywood. I guess it pays to get the good stuff. I actually do not use plywood anymore for my cuttings even thought alot of folks do (mostly baltic birch). I love cutting non-processsed wood...maple, walnut, aspen even exotic woods....much more fulfilling for me. But I do love the pattern you are cutting...it will be really nice when you are done and I can't wait to see it!
  20. Welcome from Washington State! Can't wait to see what you are making on your Ryobi.
  21. Bo, Welcome to the village from Washington State where we are having quite the snowstorm! Scroll sawing can be such a wonderful art form....Can't wait to see your work especially if it has that Swedish influence. Marie
  22. Almost all the very fine sanding I do, I use a Foredom rotary tool with multiple hand pieces that I can use with pretty much any Dremel or Kutzall burrs/sanding items or others. I bought mine on craigslist but here is an example of it: https://www.woodcraft.com/products/foredom-5200-deluxe-kit?gclid=CjwKCAiA04arBhAkEiwAuNOsIoedfaJnI9NNuSpZ8scwF4ufXxUUWvxhVWNJaHfOJ_fUMKRWAxL2zRoC8qEQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds I also have a multi tool but it is so bulky for some of my fine work that I have trouble using it. My favorite sanders are these EZ lock by dremel: They are like minnie mop sanders...they don't last too long but they have the different grits.
  23. I believe it was a miss-spelling....So I tried this SCROLLSAWINSPIRATIONS.COM But even at that, I just checked and when you click on the patterns it takes you to Target of all things....
  24. Thanks so much Travis, I am so excited to look through these. I will be using them I am sure, so will donate to one of my favorite Charities. Thanks again!
  25. Ray, thanks...I will try either my hair dryer or my heat gun on really low....thanks for the tip
