  1. Charlie, Very pretty.....what type of wood? Is it something spalted? mc
  2. Wow! That was one big tree. I am curious, did you wax the ends while you let them air dry and how long did you let them air dry before you started working with them. Marie
  3. Very nice! Great idea with the arrow head! The Elm is a pretty wood. I have never used that wood before.
  4. Very nice! beautiful coloring.
  5. Wow, Jim! The lettering is amazing! Very well done.
  6. I really like it....wow, you have been busy! mc
  7. Timothy, I always look forward to seeing your work. This one is excellent. I expecially like how you did the backer board and the frame. Great cutting! mc
  8. Yes, I agree. I was hoping your wouldn't change your Dragon... very little or not at all. I do believe you will make a fantastic background....looking forward to seeing it if you do decide to go that way. mc
  9. Frank, this is excellent and your airbrush of the wings is very well done. I think the coloring of it is perfect in that it looks like it was taken at twilight with light showing thru his wings. It would be interesting to see it in color .... If it were me, I would look at paintings of dragons to see the colors I like the best without making it too busy because the silhouette of the dragon is already so captivating.... again, really nice.
  10. That is beautiful. Did you carve the tree branch that the Leopard is on or did you scroll saw it and added a dark backer board? Again really nice work!
  11. Jimmy, I think your work is really nice. I love your choice of what you are cutting...great patterns. I have been only scrolling with my saw for about 6 months and I agree with @barb.j.enders take advantage of making cuts that are "mistakes" as an artistic impression. This form of artistic work is quite addicting. Enjoy!
  12. Ron, those are fantastic. Great colors too! How did you find such old poplar?
  13. Dick, what type of wood did you use? It looks really white.
  14. I love all the different faces! Awesome work!
  15. Wow, those are beautiful! Nice work!
  16. Rodney, great work! Hope you're getting paid well as that must take a bit of time to do the patterns and also the cutting.
  17. Paul that is fantastic! Very colorful and so Northwest! So I have never heard the term Segmentation. So it sounds like (from the previous posts) that you cut it out (kind of like a puzzle) paint each piece individually and then glue them back together to a backer board. Is that correct? Thank you!
  18. Kevin thank you for that info. I have been putting it around my blackberry bushes and it doesn't seem to be doing anything good or bad. Wish it would keep my weeds down. Maybe it takes a while for it to work since I just started doing that last spring. I wouldn't mind if the blackberry bushes would go away anyway.

  22. Dick, excellent! Love the Beaver....hope the weather is treating you kindly now that Fall is here.
  23. My latest project is my bathroom cabinet which I put in the "Other works" forum....I am amazed how much I miss using my scroll saw. So here is the latest one I finished which I submitted in the bragging section awhile back. Hope to saw more fun items soon!
