  1. Lovely work as always! The touch of blue really is a nice addition.
  2. Wonderful work! Keep up the great work!
  3. Yes, nice work. You might try more landscape type pictures because if you make any mistakes no one will know....plus there are rarely any perfectly straight lines or circles in nature.
  4. Jimmy, I am late to this thread. I started sawing a little earlier this year and like you thought I should be faster. Because my previous work was so much into being fast and productivity...then I said to myself, "hey, I am retired, I can go as slow as I want" and do a beautiful job instead of hurrying...that changed how I scroll saw now.... Enjoy the journey!
  5. Thank you so much for that tip! I learn so much on here! Thanks again
  6. Really nice work...yes, it will be fun to see future ones!
  7. Dick, that is absolutely beautiful....nice painting on the background!
  8. Wow! That is over the top excellent! Paul, you simply amaze me what you can do with that Hegner of yours!
  9. Paul, is all the letters and the Seahawk segmented? Did you paint all of that? Excellent!
  10. Very nice! I am so impressed with those straight cuts! Great Christmas presents....
  11. Yes, I am curious about the cards as well. You always have such creative cuttings.
  12. Charlie, Very pretty.....what type of wood? Is it something spalted? mc
  13. Wow! That was one big tree. I am curious, did you wax the ends while you let them air dry and how long did you let them air dry before you started working with them. Marie
  14. Very nice! Great idea with the arrow head! The Elm is a pretty wood. I have never used that wood before.
  15. Very nice! beautiful coloring.
  16. Wow, Jim! The lettering is amazing! Very well done.
  17. I really like it....wow, you have been busy! mc
  18. Timothy, I always look forward to seeing your work. This one is excellent. I expecially like how you did the backer board and the frame. Great cutting! mc
  19. Yes, I agree. I was hoping your wouldn't change your Dragon... very little or not at all. I do believe you will make a fantastic background....looking forward to seeing it if you do decide to go that way. mc
  20. Frank, this is excellent and your airbrush of the wings is very well done. I think the coloring of it is perfect in that it looks like it was taken at twilight with light showing thru his wings. It would be interesting to see it in color .... If it were me, I would look at paintings of dragons to see the colors I like the best without making it too busy because the silhouette of the dragon is already so captivating.... again, really nice.
  21. That is beautiful. Did you carve the tree branch that the Leopard is on or did you scroll saw it and added a dark backer board? Again really nice work!
  22. Jimmy, I think your work is really nice. I love your choice of what you are cutting...great patterns. I have been only scrolling with my saw for about 6 months and I agree with @barb.j.enders take advantage of making cuts that are "mistakes" as an artistic impression. This form of artistic work is quite addicting. Enjoy!
  23. Ron, those are fantastic. Great colors too! How did you find such old poplar?
  24. Dick, what type of wood did you use? It looks really white.
  25. I love all the different faces! Awesome work!
