Outdoors - Scroll Saw Challenge

June is here.  My favorite time of year.  I really enjoy getting outside and enjoying the warmer weather.  (I'd imagine it's not quite the same in the southern hemisphere, though ).  So this month's scroll saw challenge is about the outdoors.  Post a project that is related to whatever you think of when you think "outdoors."  For me, it's camping, hiking, and enjoying mother nature.  For others, it might be backyard BBQs and picnics.  Maybe where you are, you're polishing up your skis to play in the snow!

These would be some of my favourite outdoor projects. I don't have a picture of just the "Welcome to the Lake" sign, but I had one hanging on the boat until this spring when hubby dropped it.  Now I need to cut another one.  The puzzle is one of the spots we like to get to and anchor at for a couple of days.  This is on Lake of the Woods, ON.

I did this one a while back. When leaving Jasper AB going west there is this very big “lake” not sure if you can call it that it was only about one foot deep ( haven’t been to Jasper for quite a while so not sure if it’s dried up). Anyway we saw a bear walking across the water and it looked like it was walking on water ( the kids called it the Jesus Bear). Even though this picture is a Grizzly walking on ice, it always reminds me of my favorite place on Earth, Jasper.

Summer has always been about being outdoors, enjoying the sights, random encounters with interesting critters, and various activities such as hiking, geocaching, kayaking, archery, etc.  Don't have any kayak-related scroll projects yet.

Just a quick segmentation project I am working on this weekend.  I just did the first coat of paint.  Need to sand, glue it up and add the gloss finish.  Thought it looked pretty good in the loose dry fit stage.

But this speaks outdoors to me.  looking at a single flow brings me such joy seeing the handiwork in creation.

Very cool project (pun not intended. I love all the wonderful colors that are in it along with the wonderful meaning it has for you. Beautiful work on your part too

I got the fish patterns from the Wooden Teddy Bear collection. There are 2 separate sets with 6 different fish in each set. Patterns #RV101 & RV102

Here is my latest out door project I made for my granddaughter and her husband who just completed building a new home. I wanted something to give them that also happened to be their 20th anniversary too. I thought they might enjoy hanging it  at their entrance way.

This doesn't have much scroll saw work and so I did post this in 'Other Works" but I did the top window, door and doorway of this and also the "balcony"  using my scroll saw but that is about it...but it is definitely outdoors
