  1. I am sure this will be with them for a long, long time to come. A true cherished piece Dick heppnerguy
  2. I am amazed at how well you cut this, again for a first cut and the use of a #7 blade to do it, Dick heppnerguy
  3. I too always enjoy your projects as I also do this one. Unlike Scrappile, I sort of like the one you copied from as to me it looks like she is standing on the ocean beach during a stormy evening. Just my opinion as to the differences. Dick heppnerguy
  4. outstanding. Not sure how you can do it with a hand held saw but you certainly have it figured out. This project stands out so much Dick heppnerguy
  5. I have looked at this pattern so many times thinking that it was going to be the next one I cut and then it seems I don't run across it at those times so it is still in my 'to do' list. Nicely done and also an inspiration for my to try and remember it next trip to the shop Dick heppnerguy
  6. another amazing and interesting project. You always amaze me with your new pattern pieces Dick heppnerguy
  7. He will be remembered by even new members now, with this nicely made sign. Sorry for you loosing your friend. It seems to happen too much as we ourselves get older. Dick heppnerguy
  8. Congratulations to both of you. You both choose well. A little story for you. When my wife was 13 years old, I met her when she rode over to my house in a friends newly purchased car to show the car to me. My, now wife, had an ambition to become a nun at that time. She told me a couple of years later, when she saw me jump off my parents front porch to see the car, that at that moment she said to herself, "that is the man I am going to marry." Five years later we wed. Dick heppnerguy
  9. So happy for you both. So many marriages now days seem to be a trial thing instead of a commitment. Dick heppnerguy
  10. So sorry to hear about your wife passing. It is something I have high gratitude that my wife and I are still together after all these years. I thank God for that and tell my wife that also every night when we crawl into bed. Dick heppnerguy
  11. Happy wife, Happy life. There are only two ways to argue with a woman and none of them work. Dick
  12. This is a Sue Mey pattern I ran across in my patterns as I was looking for something to cut for my dear wife. I cut is from 1/8 inch BB Ply using a #1 Pegas spiral blade. I then painted it and made a backer board using 1/4 BB ply. I used Deft semi gloss spray finish. One of the only things I painted and was happy with it. It looks way better than it does in the photo. I took it in the evening front room light. Dick heppnerguy
  13. Oh how precious. Perfect idea Dick heppnerguy
  14. My favorite bowl so far. Will have to make a purchase and cut it when I am looking to make another bowl. Dick heppnerguy
  15. Bamboo is a material that I love for cutting when I can get it. I loved this Leopard pattern, of which I can not remember who designed it but I would love to that the author of it for making it available. The bamboo is about 3/8 thick and cuts very nicely with no fuzzies from drilling of cutting. I cut it with a #1 Pegas spiral blade because it goes so much quicker and a lot easier to do than a straight blade. I sprayed it with 3 layers of Deft semi gloss. I am constantly looking for somewhere to purchase the Bamboo wood at the size and thickness I want to use. It seems to be a little difficult to find around Phoenix but I know it has to be here waiting for me to make a purchase. I used a 1/4 inch BB Ply for the backer board. I cut this a couple of weeks ago but have not gotten around to taking a photo and posting it until now. Dick heppnerguy
  16. It looks like Tombstone. I don't know if you have ever been there. It is a little over an hour from my house and I have taken visitors there many times. I love the history of it. Great project as usual. Dick heppnerguy
  17. This will give the little one hours of pleasure for a long time to come. Dick heppnerguy
  18. thank you.. I was pleased with it as I was not sure just how I was going to go for the end results. Not exactly what I had in mind but it worked for me. Dick heppnerguy
  19. As you may or may not have seen, I posted a photo of a shirt my granddaughter was wearing on Thanksgiving and told her I would attempt to make a pattern from it and then attempt to make her a wooden plague of it, for her. I am posting the picture I took of her shirt and followed by the end results of my effort to make her a plaque. It did not come out exactly as I had in mind but I still felt pretty good about the end results and she said she loved it so it does not get any better than that. Dick heppnerguy
  20. Very nicely done on all three items. You are doing so well with your intarsia. I love seeing you doing this. Dick heppnerguy
  21. What about using a drum sander on a drip press? I do a lot of rounding my pieces on one and I like the control it give me. Dick heppnerguy
  22. Dave, What about bringing the right side piece over the top of the center piece just enough so the right and left were one piece instead of two. Not sure if this is what you are after or not but it should work quite easily if it is Dick heppnerguy
  23. I can see why you were awarded first place on your project. I is magnificent. I have been eyeing that one too but my wife is not into that culture type item so I am thinking it probably is not worth my time to cut it. Dick heppnerguy
  24. I love your project but mostly the kindness and extra considerations you gave to that little old lady and certainly brightened up her every day as she views the present from you. Dick heppnerguy
  25. I have got to get g oing on my air brush. I love what you are producing continually. Everything is remarkable. Dick heppnerguy
