  1. Yep, Those are the really deep down thing to pass on. They hold the memories. Put "POP" pm the back it will increase the value to grandkids 10 fold!
  2. Very nice. I need to build on for my walking stick... I have been using it since the 1970's and carving on it. Not good carving, around the campfire with a #10 Buck knife carving. The one thing the grandkid fight over who is going to get grandpa's walking stick when he croaks. Croaks is the term they use,,, I think it is one of my pronouns now.
  3. THIS DEFINITELY DESIRES A "YOU SUCK, KEVIN"!!! All in fun.
  4. Pretty cool!
  5. I always wanted a shop smith, had an uncle that had one, never saw him use it. I have a friend that has one, has had it for years.. He has a beautiful shop, big, like 30 x 50. and that shop smith looked pretty funny sitting in the middle. But he loves it, I think he has since move on to other tools. He is a turner, and an artist at it. Has a huge lathe. My problem with the shop smith is I am not organized enough to have one. You have to be able to schedule you work so you are not always having to stop and set things up for the next phase of a project. Cut everything that needs to be cut on the table saw then drill everything that needs to be drill, etc, etc... I am just too unorganized for that type of wood working.
  6. Took me three tries to get a outfeed table I am real happy with. the first on was attached and I made an adjustable leg to hold it up. It was okay but cumbersome. The second was a table that I could roll to the back of the saw when needed, only problem with that, the table was always covered with stuff, because it was also my work table. So I am back to an attached one the I can raise and lower, this time I used collapsible shelf brackets to attach it with They work great, not expensive and rated for several hundred pounds so plenty strong enough. You will like yours. make a table saw a lot safer when cutting long stuff.
  7. I love it, great idea, a real keepsake.
  8. Nice clean cut! You did a great job.
  9. Oh, My, I am too old for this. I look at the poured epoxy ones and think,,, humm, there arm my military emblem,, how would that look with them? Great work Tj Brown. Got to get this out of my head. Not enough time.
  10. Very cool man! Like far out! I dig it, Great portrait and I love the car, I have wanted a Porsche since three days before I was born. Great that you are back as the saw.
  11. You will love having it!
  12. Keep that in mind and I agree. The longer my beard gets the more I look like one. That there is an awesome brother!!
  13. We have had several I'm backs lately... That is so great, so good to have you back. Stick with us.
  14. Great find and good for you. As wood prices keep going up I will be doing this kind so thing also... I have my brother and Nephew scouting yard sales. My nephew brought me a head board from a yard, all beautiful mahogany. I still have a board and scraps from it. He paid a couple bucks for it.
  15. Wow, Kevin, I think you did a great job on what I thought was going to be an impossible clock! Congrats!
  16. Maybe there is a spell check for a scroll saw! You shouldn't announce your errors, most of us wouldn't notice. I know a lot on here will be telling me to speak for myself! Great looking plaque!
  17. Nice work, Boxes are gun and always popular.
  18. Nice work. I'll have to see if I can find that rooster pattern. I have a request for a cutting of a rooster a while back.

  20. an then there is keeper of the ball. I don't why I do some things.
  21. Great and beautiful cross. I would have never thought of that color, but it really works.
  22. "Keeper of time".. I did it as "keeper of the glass ball". not sure why just thought a glass ball would look neat. https://theartfactory.com/product/keeper-of-the-time/
  23. Really turned out nice.
  24. I have the same clock cut out and ready to be assembled, Been that way on a shelf for quite a few years.
  25. I think 1/4" is fine, of coarse, it is personal preference that counts. I have done detailed patterns in 1/4" basswood with no problem, and it is softer, I think, than Birch. You may find a #2/0 Pegas blade a little too flexible but again personal preference and what works for you is the real answer.
