  1. It is a Kathy Wise pattern. I believe it is in one of the SSWC magazines. I can go back and take a look for what issue.
  2. This is a quick pattern to do. I had one at my last show that sold, yeah! Got this one done for the next show. Woods used: Pink Maple, Maple, Aspen, White Oak. Finish is one coat of Walrus Oil.
  3. This is a pattern by Steve Shears @Wood Logos Studio. He was the sponsor of last month's PAM project (FB). Although my project didn't "win" Steve generously gave all entries a couple of patterns. Woods used: Orange Osage, Spruce, Aspen, Canarywood, Quilted Maple, Wenge, Aromatic Cedar and the tip of a white pencil crayon. Finished with one coat of Osmo satin. I may mount it on a slab of Elm.
  4. I agree with Peter. No backing. The backing makes it look too busy, the numbers kinda get lost.
  5. I guess I have an "untrained" eye. I did notice that, but didn't think it was a detraction.
  6. Frank, I think you have this Intarsia stuff down pat. That is beautiful. It seems to me I had read that someone else had the same issue with the tusk. I did go back to look closer at the grain. Not sure what you would have done differently. I couldn't detect any "errors".
  7. Stunning
  8. Don, That is stunning. The colouring is perfect.
  9. Congrats of the sales. How did the hockey gnomes do? My first one is today.
  10. They are all lovely.
  11. That's lovely.
  12. Looking good. I did a couple of the hockey gnomes last year. Put a Jets logo on them. One was picked up right away. Took 4 more shows before the second one sold! I was very surprised it took that long.

  14. I am with the masses - light!
  15. Very nice.
  16. It is never too late. You could buy new again!!
  17. You can always come back when you get tired of the resin!
  18. A beautiful heron. Thanks for the writeup on how you produce you works of art.
  19. Great work Chris. The backer and quote is a great idea.
  20. I use a modified geometry #5 on that type of puzzle. Welcome to the gang!
  21. My hubby is the same way. Always amazed to see them come out!
  22. I only use spruce because it is cheap and available, in square shape, from the big boxes. I don't have a way to mill my own wood and I haven't found hardwoods in that format. I would love to try Cherry, Alder or stuff like that!
  23. Thanks Marg. Yes, the moose is a Steve Good pattern. When I first saw it I didn't really like it. Someone else did it with thicker hardwoods. I liked that, so I used my hardwoods. The moose is Walnut, two of the trees are Maple and the third tree is Cherry(?).
  24. Congratulations Marg. A well deserved win.
