  1. I want to thank you and everyone else for all the wounderful free patterns!!! I simply love doing the compound cut patterns!!! and have several waiting for me in the wood shop. lol if I ever find pictures I can turn into bobble head patterns i'll be sure to share. lol
  2. yes its harder for those who are used to going a lot, my poor spike I think hes made more trips t battle creek since the stay at home order then normal! lol perhaps it just the idea of being told you cant do something....like children, I know when my kids were little the minute I said no you cant wash the dishes your too little, they immedently insisted they were old enough!!! ( so id get a pot out fill it with water and give them the sliver waire to wash with another pan to put the ones they cleaned lol then when they went outside Id rewash them and put them away lol and then of course mop the floor! lol ) now when they got older it was like pulling teeth to get them anywhere near a sink full of dishes lol
  3. I just HATE it when things break and I cant fix them!!! ggggrrrrrr!!! lol you did a beautiful job on your napkine holder the cutting sanding and finishing is just wounderful !! so now you have to get back to your saw and wow us with your next project!!! ( I said get back to your saw instead of your workshop because for years my scroll saw and drill press lived in my kitchen!!! lol the only time the kids would complain was if I started sawing while they were cooking!!! lol I was nice about it though, I told them you have to eat a pek of sawdust before you die lol a variation of you have to eat a pek of dirt before you die lol)
  4. Great work!!!
  5. Happy birthday dick!!! now about the intarsha, I don't try it because you have to use different types of wood, what I do try every now and then it the segmented projects... I think its similar but with the segmented projects I can use nice cheap pine and either stain or paint the pictures.
  6. lol hum wounder if its a contribution to th price of the stripper?
  7. hum that's interesting...just above this post it says Dragon said and then in the post part there is either a strange langue I don't know or garbled words lol the only word I recognize is spike. lol anybody got any ideas as to how such an odd thing happened?
  8. that is wounderful!! any nurse would love it!! im sure she will love it!!
  9. Great picture and cut!!!
  10. just wounderful!!! and a great present for your friend.
  11. defently great work!!! I have two ingraving kits I recivd as presents and a box full of wine glass's just waitig for me to try my hand at it. lol After seeing yours I might have to make a point of having spike get that box of wine glasses out of the gragrae lol
  12. simply fantastic!!!
  13. nice cutting and pattern!!
  14. well thanks kevin!! now all I have to do is buy some smaller blades lol i'll have to look on line and see where I can get some, only place around here that sells them s johnsons work bench and I do believe there closed now. Most of the people here in mic( or at least those I know and have heard from are NOT happy that pretty much everything is closed) A friend of mine went to meyjers and Walmart and they were only allowed to go into the section of the store that had food in it... she was going to pick up some yarn for me a few odds and ends for her. she was not happy!!! I mean really if im already in the store, and your only letting like 35 people in the store at a time...I don't think im in or causing anyone else more danger then when I was in the food section... but its not a nessary item.... gezzz !
  15. I agree with everybody else its a great cut and pattern!!! Did you make the pattern? My dad drove truck way way back when,,,before I was born and I remember when we were on trips he would use his headlights to talk to the truckers. lol as he got older the new younger truckers didn't know a thing about headlight talking so he stoped trying to talk them . lol but when in the old days he would get weathr reports for where we werr going, what the traffic was like up ahead and of course where the poloice were so be sure not to speed!!! lol what ever else they talked aabout I don't know lol
  16. Ratdatelle, No lol I got the pattern I think from the winterfield collection a few years ago, I used to belong to there pattern club. Heather did indeed love it. !!! and I kept one for me with her picture in it. I was thinking its a shame that that's the only bobble head pattern I have and then I got to thinking...even though I cant draw I think I might be able to make my own patterns for different ones...It uses 1/4 in wood and is basically a body and a head....now if I can find some people patterns to trace...and im pretty sur I can...I could just enlarge or reduce the pattern to size, cut the head off and trace the picture onto wood and just cut it out and paint it. Of course the detail might not be as much as on the picture but as long as you could tell what they are it should be ok... so now im looking for pictures ( I think coloring book type pictures would work best) to print and cut out and see how it works... I don't see where I would have to much trouble turning the pictures into bobble heads...so im off to go in serach of coloring book type pictures lol
  17. thank you baggetta, im hoping to make up enough different kinds of stock to eventually sell somewhere on line. I never sell patterns of any kind.
  18. all i use is cheap wood,so most likely the ply split and pieces break off. I have learned to fill in the parts of the cut where some of the top layer or two sort of splits off. and i have gotten very good at making repairs. love the owl by the way!! oh and one way to repair the piece where a layer or two has broken away is to take some sawdust (perferable from the piece you just cut) and glue and mix it together....then use this past to sort of fill in the split off pieces., building it back up to the the same level as the rest of the wood. i usuly got a little higher than that so once its dry you can sand it down until it looks pretty much the same as the rest of the wood...time consumeing yes but i have more time then i do money!! lol
  19. yes it was william shatner who played the husband. Iv never seen the show but from the clip i could tell who it was....im a huge star trek fan lol i have all the episodes from all the star trek shows ( except deep space 9 which i didnt really like ) I even have all the movies. lol the game looks great!! i cant wait to make it!!! Thank you and i'll be sure to put not to sell on the pattern when i print it out so it wont get confused with all the other patterns....thats the only problem iv ever had with on line patterns....once there printed out a lot of times it dosnt have the name of the sight i got it from and it dosnt say for personal use only. iv been lucky so far and havent made a mastake . if yu ever see a pattern you made that im selling just let me know so i can write on the pattern its self .... personal use only.... and where ever i might be selling stuff in the furture i will take it down right away. again i love the game and cant wait to make it!!
  20. I know your right heppnergy, but I still don't like being treated like some fragial little thing lol im used to being the strong one, and doing what ever I want. I used to push my body to the limit and then push it just a little bit more. lol I cant do that now, just walking from the Livingroom to the kitchen I have to stop and sit a minute to catch my breath...to me its a very bothersome annoyance I try to for get I have . lol its harder to do that when everybodys telling you different. lol I can fool most people but not spike...he always knows... that's why as much as I wish my kids would visit more hes glad they don't. He says I push myself to much when there around....but im not just a parent Im there mother. lol Never having had any kids of his own he dosnt understand that...lol We have a stool in the laundray room I use to sit on when im doing the dishes because the disks or something in my back are detearating which makes my back hurt like the dickens if im standing or walking to long.... and I have to sit on the cooler when I take a shower because I cant stand long enough and I have to keep the door partly opened or the steam from the shower takes my breath away. I always knew I wouldn't like getting old and I was right!!! lol but we put the stool and the cooler away when the kids come....they always call first as it takes about an hour to get here so I have time to hid the evidence that mom is not as healthy as they think I am. lol spike says I should tell the kids and let them know but I don't want them to visit more often because im getting older and my health is not good...I want them to visit me more because they love me and WANT to visit more... if that makes any sense. lol
  21. spike made them from the wire you get for hanging pictures... he dosnt remember the gage though, then we tightly wound the wire around a nail.... to attatch the head to the body I just drilled really small holes in the head and body and used super glue in the holes when I put the wire in the holes... I wish I could make my own patterns because this is the only bobble head pattern I have and id love to make a lot more of them.... like policemen/woman firemen/women nurses, drs, vets any kind of person you can think of !!! then all you have to do is size and print a face picture and attatch a picture to the back of the head. im sure they would sell really well...they make great gifts... but im sure someday some one who can make patterns will make all different kinds of thems and make some good money on them lol well spike has to try to get the church live feed on my computer so I can :go to church: this morning. lol one good thing about the viris it has inabled me to be able to go to church againl lol I asked the pastor if he will countue to do the live feeds after this is al over and he said hed like to so well see! lol have a great day!!
  22. Thanks for the information!!! Im looking more and more at the ingravers…. trying to learn more about them and what they can do....I was thinking it might be nice to take pictures of family members and maybe ingrave them into wood, and I think the ingravers iv been looking at can ingrave on some other materals to. just doing research to try to understand what cncs and engravers can do so I can decide what if anything i'll buy. lol
  23. love that show and your cutting!!! hum maybe I should cut him out and put all my columbo disks under it. lol
