  1. Welcome to the village. We like to share here. We share techniques, tips, tricks so ask questions often. And we are looking forward to learn your tricks. Also we share pictures. Some say it did not happen without pics. Me. Mark Eason
  2. Very cool. you have baseball diamond, bats, hats, helmets, stars and flying baseballs. Not mention some, no , a lot of letters. Letters take high concentration. Good work.
  3. ok I tried this angle the table using 15 deg. It is hard to get a picture because the lens is not centered over each letter. Spiral blade. 15 deg left. wood is cheap pine ... shim stock. wood is always oriented bottom letters toward front of saw.
  4. Thanks for the great idea.... I had these pieces laying around for a while. So with your posting I knew just what to do with them.... Did them as soon as I saw your idea. They are in the drying stage now.
  5. Both of the bottom pictures is Me. Mark Eason
  6. Unique non-square plaque. Hmmm do I see a angles cut on the plaque sides or is that a corner round from a router?. Also mountains in the upper corner adds a nice touch.
  7. So is the bottle half empty? I don't think is capped. Maybe put a colored paper backer on it that shows the fluid level? Maybe put a clear front cover on it to make it look glassy? And great idea. I like it. Hang it on a Christmas tree. Next to a polar bear.
  8. Frank, Your choice and creation of art shows super crisp lines and smoothe and eligant curves. The "Horse palls" show how you did an invert to capture different horse colors. Brilliantly done. The jaw line of the horse on left shows nice curved lines. The plants add that feel of a wall of flowers without "grass" blades that tend to add more detail that is needed. Elegant plant leaves gave me a feel of flowers that are not blooming. Now the left horse's neck just stops. I kinda feel that a couple of elegant curves can be added to show the horse has a body. The curves could go all the way to the frame. It will change the composition and framing of the content. But for me I would likevto complete the camera frame.
  9. I don't see a five star sowtware option. So I am not bound by a limit of 5. My vote is 11 stars and some good brownie points for seeing relatives. ✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴✴ (11)
  10. Frame does add to the old scene of the picture.
  11. Nice stripes on the medium dark tiger.
  12. Can you glue the cut cores together and get smaller snowmen? Offsprings? Both having fun with words and seeing if waste cutouts can be used. Thanks for the reply
  13. ohhh nice concept. What did you do with his insides???
  14. You moved the north pole.!!!! North pole is where he stores all his stuff. So your going to need a bigger place, and an air traffic controller to block all airline over your house.
  15. very great capture of a good moment. I like the charactures smooth curves. Cartoon strips made with scrollsaw. I like it.
  16. thoughts from the brain, leaking away from memory. Memory leaks. You know computers have memory overloads and just shut down.
  17. Super nice.
  18. I found longer #65 cobalt drill bits. For angle cuts and stack cutting. 1.5 inches long. #68 is 1.375 long. https://www.panamericantool.com/cobalt-aircraft-drills-wire-gauge-number-sizes.html
  19. I guess it is worth a phone call tomorrow
  20. http://lmscnc.com/3668 This one shows zero. But it is 3x the price and you have some other adapter....
  21. But the slice of rock (geode?) looks great too.
  22. I use the menu activity, all activity. and still miss some. It depends how many updates happen. I might not want to scan thru 117 updates. Oh , My artistic idea I could not get it done in 6 weeks. I had this vision bigger than my immediate capabilities. But next september it will be done. I need to learn lots of stuff. Which in progress. Some new technology was just announced this month. I will incorporate that also. It will use scrollsaw items. It will be fun project. Anyway might be a bad time to "follow" this topic.
  23. Update.. My sister won the illustration category..... Search for Rhea Eason https://earthobservations.org/artcompetition.php?t=winners
  24. @Myrtlewood Welcome to the village. I have purchased some myrtle wood and used it in a couple of my projects. My source was in Oregon. Myrtlewood is a good hardwood and has a unique smell. Where are your from, general location. Tell us about your interests. Ask a lot questions and then teach us your techniques. Welcome.
  25. Your work is so striking to the eye. I love how you kept the green grass mixed with the paws. Shows some depth and realism. On both the whiskers look like some of the wood would fall out. Are some of the whiskers painted on?
