rjweb Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago Where are you buying your spray adhesive, i usually buy from hd but they don’t seem to carry any more, thx RJ Quote
jerry walters Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago For the past several years I have purchased 3M 77 spray at ACE hardware. A few months ago, when I needed some, went to the same store. The only had Gorilla Spray adhesive. I thought OK, this is a good brand. Clerks in the store didn't know much about the brand. Didn't work well for me. Maybe I was using it wrong. Anyway, I found that sometimes my pattern would pull away from the shelf paper I would put on the wood. I have used Gorilla wood glue with no issues. Recently when in the store I noticed they had 3M 77 spray back on the shelf, but the can did not look the same. The instructions on how to use it also changed, but I thought what the heck. I will try it. Following the instructions to a "T", it worked. I will see what happens the next time I use it. Jerry Quote

kmmcrafts Posted 13 hours ago Report Posted 13 hours ago (edited) I read somewhere they maybe rebranded it with a different brand name? It's still has the 77 on the can but sold under a different name? Gosh I don't remember now what it was about or where I seen this info but anyway.. it may look like a different product than it used to look. Do not know if there is any truth to any of this.. just remember reading something about it. Edit: I googled about it and it is still available according to google but the 3M 45 is the one they discontinued.. but it also states that 3M 77 cannot be sold or shipped to certain states because of EPA regulations.. dgman Posted 12 hours ago Report Posted 12 hours ago I purchased a can of 3M 77 at Home Depot in So. Ca. Just last week. The previous can of spray adhesive I had was Scotch brand 77. It did not work as well as 3M brand. I found myself having to tape sections of the pattern that lifted as I cut. Quote
Jim McDonald Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago Didn't pick it up to examine, but saw cans of 77 today in Staples. Looked like new packaging. Quote
